Most of this crap is for the gullible masses mostly those prosperity religious type of people. In every religious setting there is an equal equivalent in terms of demand of either juju or those"miracle" religions. If you feel the religious part has failed you, they go to the juju part which is no different mainly because money is involved. The guy on the video is actually part of those practicing juju & its a marketing strategy for their paraphernalia.

Actually wenedem the negative sentiments about Ethiopia used to stem from the fact that most people associated Ethiopia's isolation as a sign you guys were disassociating from black Africa. Most Kenyans back in the days didnt know Ethiopian authorities were so hard on freedoms. The attitudes have changed over the last decade because Kenyans understand the reality of the struggles of the everyday Ethiopians.

We the ordinary Ethiopians are poor and all we want is peace and love. Same goes to Kenyans and other Africans. Our bond will not be broken by politicians. We are all one.

These r also parts of the old section of the city n majority of the old section of the city looks like this! You can see the aerial view.

Fair but for 90% of a city with a population of over 3M to look like that is just a shame. I would rather have Mathare and Kibera in 6% of the land while 94% of the city is awesome. Look at Nakuru's aerial view and see the difference. Where would you rather live?

Even smaller cities with less than 1M people in East Africa such as Kisumu, Nakuru, Eldoret, Arusha look so nice in comparison to Ibadan.

Actually all those cities I mentioned look way more beautiful and are better planned than Ibadan. Only Mogadishu has more run down infrastructure due to civil war but it still looks better.

The problem with Ibadan is the same problem that has bedevilled most Nigerian cities (decades of military rule) and destruction of the old regional govt system of Nigeria.

During the mid 20th century (1940-1967) when Ibadan was capital of the old western region of Nigeria. It was among the fastest developing cities in Africa. It had the first sky scrapper, the first television and radio stations in Africa.
All this beauty was destroyed immediately as the Nigerian civil war began and the regions were split into different states and the states kept on being divided further by military dictators.
This is one reason why Nigerian cities look comparatively underdeveloped for their large populations.

Nigeria has really been through a lot.
