dont say half truth, this is ajaokuta

FG and Russia To Synergize in Revamping Ajaokuta Steel Company
As the Federal government strives to diversify the economy through Mining and Steel Sector, the revitalization of Ajaokuta Steel Company to produce optimally is of utmost concern to the present administration, the Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Arc. Olamilekan Adegbite stressed this when he received the Russian Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency, Alexey Shebarshir in his office.
The minister pointed out that Federal Government did not deliberately abandon the company but owing to some legal encumbrances, the company has not been producing optimally. He said that the government has been expending huge amount of money to ensure that the assets at the company are not vandalized.
Adegbite informed the Russian Ambassador that the Federal Government is working round the clock to ensure that some sections of the company will start production before the end of the year. He assured his guest of the government’s readiness to welcome any collaboration aimed at revitalising the steel industry to operate in full capacity. The minister said that plan are on ground to engage relevant companies on meaningful discussions with a view to employ strategic approaches on the best ways to reinvigorate Ajaokuta Steel into full production so as a achieve the vision of making it the hub of industrialization not only to Nigeria but Africa at large.
The Russian Ambassador to Nigeria, Alexey Shebarshir, speaking earlier, said that his country is ready to partner with Nigeria in resuscitating Ajaokuta Steel Company especially in the areas of rebuilding infrastructure and overhauling of the plant. He emphasised on the need for the Federal Government to protect the private investors who are interested in turning around the company for maximum production.
While commenting on the partnership, the Russian Deputy Head of Mission, Trade and Economic Affairs, Valery Shaposhnikov, said that they have carried out on the spot analysis of the challenges militating against smooth operation of the company.
He called for more engagement between government and stakeholders in the industry so as the to be better informed and fashion out the best ways to tackle the issues hindering the operations of the company.
Shaposhnikov reiterated his country’s readiness from the inception of the company to harness the potential of Steel in providing the necessary equipment for the industrialization of the country

Dude, grown ups face reality! You're up against 2 insurmountable odds:the Naij subculture that makes planning and implementation in the smallest way a major miracle and the facts of the modern world THAT DON'T WANT DEVELOPING NATIONS GETTING INVOLVED IN SUCH PROJECTS! Fyi,talk of reviving Ajaokuta began in 92!? The story of Tyaz Prom Export, the Russian engineering giants who built the plant and the multifarious agendas by Naijjans and the West to sabotage the projects are worthy of an award winning documentary!
Here's a little:
RUSSIAN TyazhPromExport (TPE) IS BACK WITH HOPE FOR NIGERIA
The Sole Administrator of ASCL Egnr. Onobere has repeatedly said that since the Russians left in 1994, no progress has been realized on the project. The following questions kept hovering my mind :
- the moment Nigeria realized their mistake in not completing ASCL and were ready to commence completion, why were the Russians not called back to resume works? Why did we settle for SolGas and GSHL in the first and second instances?
- From the quality of work evident in Ajaokuta, is there any doubt on the expertise of TPE that questioned their invitation?
- Could it be that TPE wasn’t invited because the Russians are too straight forward and don’t engage in “smart business”?
My research led me to uncover a lot of conspiracies on how TPE is no longer interested in doing business with Nigeria and some even said TPE no longer exists. My curiosity took the better part of me and I decided to look them up the internet and initiate contacts.

Do they at first know the breeds involved. Would Nigerian farmers be tempted to buy cows that can cost upwards of even more than 5000 dollars? Someone tell him that Fulani cattle breeds won't be able to give him an average of 20litres of milk daily! They should be ready to spend millions of Naira just to build sperm banks for cows!
kikuyu1:

With his typical Naij boyishness he thinks cows just need to see grass and start squirting milk! He has no idea of the many processes and players involved in the whole chain.

We've learnt dairy from you and that is the reason for all this ruga and livestock production noise you've hearing..As for ajaokuta no need to make noise with a jealous fellow like you, so long as it is progressing I see know reason why I need to force you to openly accept it.......these days I want to try as much as possible to stay away from useless unfruitful argument most especially when it is trying to speak against reality

TPE were global players!Look at the Indian smelters they built in Bhilai,Bakaro and Visakhaptnam. Each is producing at least 0.5 MN and they also upgraded a new blast furnace at Rourkela, last pic. Iow,the Indians got it right despite the same challenges and now the sky is the limit for them! You know Naijjans, you could learn from them if you drop the juvenile hateration and posing.

Repair works have started at the Anthony- Oworonshoki Road area of Lagos. Anthony is an urban place that has a close road network with Oshodi and Oworonshoki is closer to the dreaded 3rd Mainland Bridge. It will be recalled that the reconstruction of the 32-kilometre Apapa-Oshodi-Oworonshoki-Ojota in Lagos was performed last year by the Minister of Power, Works, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, on behalf of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The reconstruction of the road’s Section 1, Sub-section A, will begin from the Olorogun Michael Ibru Boulevard (former Creek Road) end of Port Novo Bridge and Liverpool road, in Apapa, through Coconut, Beachland Estate interchange bridge, Cele Bus Stop, Anthony Village, to Old Lagos Toll Gate.

The whole length of the road will be paved with reinforced concrete by Dangote Industries Limited at a whopping cost of N73 billion, using the Road Trust Fund policy.

The fund is a form of public, private partnership, conceived to accelerate the provision of federal roads by allowing private sector operators to collectively fund road projects in exchange for tax credit.

“The Road Trust Fund policy gives private sector operators an incentive to fund infrastructure with the government. This is an innovative and laudable scheme, we are putting our money upfront,” said the President of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote.

For those coming from MMIA, you must have noticed some additions to the pavement by HITECH team, well, it seems they are upgrading the road and they are going all the way to Ojota.

AutoReportNG got some new pictures of this road and how the workers are faring, see below...

so does deployment according to you:

Thus:

"Deployment

Deployment of an operation proceeds then as quickly as possible, taking into account the security and political conditions on the ground.

It often starts with an advance team to establish mission headquarters and leads to a gradual build-up to encompass all components and regions, as required by the mandate.

The UN has no standing army or police force of its own, and Member States are asked to contribute military and police personnel required for each operation. Peacekeepers wear their countries’ uniform and are identified as UN Peacekeepers only by a UN blue helmet or beret and a badge."

Civilian staff of peacekeeping operations are international civil servants, recruited and deployed by the UN Secretariat."

Straight from the UN itself!!

But he sent some of SA govt(about four of them) to Nigeria last month... Buhari didn't head to SA to apologize but seek ways to discuss and make sure the lives and right of Nigerians in SA that are yet to leave are protected....and most importantly to learn from their mining industry..Nigeria wants to go into mining big time..mining companies are recognising Nigeria as a mining destination . A good example will be SEGIOLA PROJECT in Osun state

nigeria power supply issues
the major problem with nigeria power supply is that the transmission line was old and lacks capacity to evacuate the power generated by gencos. there are so many power plants lying idle and the one functioning are doing so below capacity. when they try to evacuate all, it brakes down the grid. that was because the country fail to plan for expansion as the population grows. the country is exporting excess power to neighboring countries instead idle power, to make money. however governmnet has signed MOU with power companies to address that. read below.
soon i will show some of the power plants.

1. The Republics of Benin and Niger have paid $10.1m as electricity bill to Nigeria to avert being disconnected from their power source in Nigeria after the Federal Government threatened to disconnect debtors.

It was also learnt that the countries made the payment through their respective power firms, with NIGELEC of the Republic of Niger paying $3.79m, while the Community Electric du Benin of the Republic of Benin remitted $6.32m to Nigeria’s electricity market.
https://punchng.com/power-benin-republic-niger-pay-nigeria-10m-after-disconnection-threat/

2. Nigeria is planning to supply electricity to Burkina Faso, a West African country, amid cries of acute power deficit by Nigerians.

Managing director/chief executive officer, Mainstream Energy Solutions Limited, operators of Kainji and Jebba Hydro power plants, Mr. Lamu Audu, said this at the Annual Power and Utilities Roundtable organised by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Lagos.

Audu decried the level of energy rejection by electricity distribution companies (DisCos), adding that the company was left with no choice than to find reliable buyers for the rejected power generated.

Out of the two 922 megawatts (MW) generated on his network, only 600 to 650MW is taken by the DisCos in Nigeria, he lamented, adding that the development was affecting the establishment's quest for funds to expand capacity.

"We are left with no option than to sell the balance to other African countries th
at are willing to pay. In fact, they are willing to take up the whole electricity invoice at a higher price than what Nigerians are willing to pay.

"We are talking to Burkina Faso on this. We are aware that some Nigerian power firms sell electricity to Togo, Benin Republic, among others; we are not the first to do this," he added.
https://allafrica.com/stories/201811300070.html

3. Nigeria is to export the excess quantum of electricity that is unutilised in the country to other West African countries.

The Transmission Company of Nigeria said the export would raise the quantum of electricity exported from Nigeria to the West African region.

Speaking at the meeting of the joint technical working group of the West African Power Pool in Abuja on Monday, the Managing Director, TCN, Usman Mohammed, who is also the chairman of the WAPP executive board, said power distribution companies in Nigeria were still not taking all the electricity from generation companies.

READ ALSO: Shell, Eni aware of corrupt Malabu payments to Nigerians – Italian judge

He said, “For Nigeria, if you look at the generation and what the distribution networks can take, we don’t have a shortage, we have a surplus.

“From the system point of view, we cannot say Nigeria has a shortage, the excess we have, we can send to other parts of West Africa but we need to have some few things put in place. One of such is the synchronisation so that we can actually export energy from Nigeria to West Africa.”

The Federal Government had repeatedly stated that about 2,000 megawatts of electricity had been stranded over time due to the inability of the Discos to distribute the additional quantum of energy to domestic power users.

Mohammed also stated that apart from selling power to other countries of West Africa and earning foreign exchange from such, the expected expansion and synchronisation of the region’s electricity lines could help expand Nigeria’s generation capacity.

The TCN boss noted that the meeting of the WAPP executives was to advance the grid synchronisation programme.

He said, “We are holding a meeting for the synchronisation of the interconnections between the various countries. The intention is to synchronise them because WAPP wants to ensure that energy flow from Nigeria to Senegal and back.

“Where energy is cheap, it can flow to where it is demanded and in that respect, we can now reduce the cost of electricity in West Africa which is the most expensive in the world.”

Mohammed added, “We want to synchronise to bring our frequency level to that of WAPP standard – 49.80 and 50.20 hertz, which is the standard all of us must look towards. When we achieve that and synchronise our networks, energy will flow across.”

4. Nigeria signs deal with Siemens to upgrade the country's electricity supply to 11,000 megawatts by 2023
Nigeria seals electricity deal with Siemens AG under its Electrification Roadmap.
The deal will see Siemens generating 7,000 megawatts by 2021, 11,000 megawatts by 2023 and overall grid capacity to 25,000 megawatts in country faced with erratic power supply.
This is two years after Siemens successfully completed Egypt's power generation project.
The Nigerian government has signed a partnership agreement on Nigeria Electrification Roadmap (NER) with Siemens AG to upgrade the country's power transmission & distribution infrastructure

The deal will see Siemens generating 7,000 megawatts by 2021 and 11,000 megawatts by 2023 in a country faced with erratic power supply.

President Muhammadu Buhari while making remarks after meeting with the Global CEO of the Siemens, Joe Kaeser on Monday, said the government's priority is to stabilise the power generation and gas supply sector in the country.

no it doesn't contradict your meaning of deploy, actual quite to the contrary infact.

All the above states is, even if proforce wanted to, it would not have been able to sell anything to the UN due to their deployment policy.

Thus conclusion: Proforce has not sold anything to Southern Africa or the UN.
