forgiveness:No, no, no, am not referring to Lagos at any way, neither am I contradicting myself, you're the one who started this. So I was giving out my point of view . Lagos has skyscrapers(more than six) but when comparing Lagos with Nairobi basing on this sentiment, Lagos will lag behind Nairobi. The dwarf cities with shanty houses are well known, no need of pointing out |

TayserMahrii: Most of us have no idea how bad it really was! Here are screenshots from some pages of an old book in my library-that Boers,or anyone had such psycho casual contempt for Black Life is actually unbelievable! Then you look wider and its breathtaking to find out out, that's how ishyt was. Look at this! The real black prisoner/slave labour system in action, overwhelmingly victims of the racist pass law-this form of de facto slvaery existed til the end of the 80s!?: Wiki,I know but..... A participant of the potato boycott in Bethal reported that young boys were taken to potato farms after committing Pass Law offences. Their clothing was taken away and given sacks to wear as clothing. They slept on concrete floors and used their hands to dig the potatoes due to a lack of resources. The boys were beaten with sjamboks by the foremen and many of those who died were buried on the fields without reporting the death to the relatives of the deceased.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_African_potato_boycott Under a variety of arrangements, farmers were able to hire prison labor cheaply. For example, a network of prison farm outstations was built by groups of farmers and handed over to the authorities, who kept these institutions stocked with prisoners. Farmers paid very reduced fees for the labor thus obtained. In addition, a system of "parole" into the farms existed for short-term prisoners. These systems were sources of strong criticism from South Africa's trading partners as well as from the human rights community.101 South Africa was repeatedly accused of slavery by means of its prison system. The extent of the problem can be illustrated by a case of a farmer from northern Transvaal, accused of beating his naked "parole" prisoners. At his hearing he testified that between 1972 and 1977, no fewer than 4,000 prisoners worked on his farm.102https://www.hrw.org/legacy/reports/1994/southafrica/11.htm Tbh,for far too long many Whites have been living the life of Riley- Living the life of Riley means living the easy life, an existence marked by luxury and a carefree attitude.https://grammarist.com/idiom/living-the-life-of-riley/ Benefitting enormously from an inherently unjust system and til today yet to confront the privileges they still enjoy thanks to apartheid. You know I've been forced to take another look at the White farmer attacks. The long terrible history of Black prisoner abuse convinces me many of the attacks are revenge. I'll see if I can find a correlation but stats on black prisoner labour are drawing a blank. 1 Like

TayserMahrii: We do lol. Zulus can be domineering & Xhosas can be rebellious, so you see how these two can clash overtime We're both not perfect though. I can't speak on Zulu people imperfections, I can only speak of my own people's flaws, which are a lot We're arrogant despite coming from a poor part of the country Xhosa people are very full of themselves, you can't tell them anything lol. However, it's not empty chest-beating, we can actually back it up with facts...we have bragging rights Many "1st black" anything in South Africa were/are Xhosa, so why should we be humble about those achievements? And we're NOT humble about them, we scream them for everyone to hear. LMAO. So yeah, humility is not part of our nature. We love ourselves too much to take the backseat Also very DRAMATIC. Ooh gosh! Those are the main problems people have with us. Aside from that, we're very friendly, lively & FUNNY. There're very few Xhosa people with boring & dull personalities. We're often charismatic with big & sparkly personalities. A Zulu guy actually made this video to show the difference between the two tribes, particularly to draw attention to the theatrics & drama of Xhosa people. Very accurate, btw lol. TayserMahrii: Oh I see.Like most of us when we were kids we only knew the "go shorty it's ya birthday" part of "In Da Club" by 50 Cent? I mean why would a South African refuse to go home when there's no hunger in the land? a South African can be can be basking in the bright lights of New York (a city non in South Africa can rival with) but he will still think of home Long story short,we just hate longing desperate in other people's lands. 1 Like |
