Sandton is a City on its own.Maybe about 9 km from the Jo'burg CBD.It's part of the Johannesberg metro,not part of the city.

I grew up in Grayston right outside of sandton, and all my life I believed that I lived in joburg and now you want to tell me I live in a different city completely.

I was even wrong with that 9 km distance.Sandton and Johannesberg are 15 km apart.Like I said,Sandton is part of the Johannesberg metro,but it is in no way part of the Johannesberg CBD.So you not even aware of your surroundings?

black markets are illegal and are patronized by people like friend of urs. When u cant get forex from banks for obvious reasons, u get it at d black market at an exorbitant rate.

How small is Johannesburg? Sandton is part of Joburg. These are just 'cities' like Eko Altantic or Nairobi Tatu city. Sort of a city within a city. But not a different city. Sort of an exclusively part of the city - the trend that started in US - where the poor mostly black/browns are kept in inner city - and the rich (mostly) whites move into their own exclusive 'city' within the city.

Mr! Sandton is not part of Johannesberg.It does fall under City of Joburg municipality,like Soweto is,and so on but it's NOT part of the Joburg CBD.

wow! At least kenya can somehow go toe to toe with S. A in real estates sector despite them being miles ahead in africa.
I'm literally enjoying the view with samorobo, but of course samorobo just like justo30 will never ever acknowledge any beauty in Kenya
