I can only make projections but cannot compare KQ with airpeace. KQ is an industry that use to be no 1 in Africa . It has a fully armed MRO, fully armed cargo group , modern fleet ( 8 Dreamliners and a couple of Boeing 737NGs and embraer 190s) along with subsidiary airline Jambi jet and a thriving tourism industry that supports aviation. I recently flew KQ002 to JFK on a Dreamliner .

However KQ is fast losing grounds to Ethiopian and KLM partnership will kill KQ faster than Can be imagined .

Nothwithstanding I wouldn’t want to bash Airpeace because it’s a private operator ( probably the biggest private operator in Africa ) and is surviving in an environment that is very harsh towards airline operators. They are trying and have good prospects in Africa due to the mobile nature of Nigerians, location of Nigeria and absence of a strong airline in west Africa . I believe Airpeace can compete with asky and air Côte d’Ivoire if Nigerian government protects them from the hostilities of the francophone governments.

As for KQ they’ll eventually go the way of SAA as other East African countries are launching their airlines ( Uganda , air Tanzania, Rwandair and the giant Ethiopian)

you can't compare a country with few quantity to another with one of the highest proven reserve. there's excess. the industries relevance isn't even assured in 20 years time, just like coal it will become an almost forgotten commodity.
