Osu caste go back to school and learn the difference between Gas supply and Electricity supply .

You can't give what you don't have

POKUASI2:

Nigeria will increase its supply of electricity to Ghana through the West African Power Pool, which comes on-stream this month.
I guess the devil that experimented with your creation forgot to insert that part of brain responsible for comprehension in that your trokoshi V shaped head.
The first line in that article says "Nigeria will INCREASE its supply of electricity to ghana"
Will increase means there was already supply before this statement was made.

POKUASI2:
THIS IS FROM FORMER GHANA PRESIDENT KUFOR

Nigeria will increase its supply of electricity to Ghana through the West African Power Pool, which comes on-stream this month. The Power Pool Agreement, between Ghana, Nigeria and the Ivory Coast, combines these countrys' electricity generation into a pool, giving them all a safeguard to fall back on in the event of an energy shortfall in their country.

This is good news for Ghana, a country with an energy requirement estimated at 2000MW, and a total generation output of 1200MW. 69% of the energy is generated from hydroelectric sources (912MW from the Akosombo dam and 160MW from the Kpong dam) and 30.4% is generated from fossil fuels.

President Kufuor made the announcement during his presentation of the country's implementation report on the African Peer Review Mechanism recommendations at the Sixth Summit of the APRM Heads of State and Government Forum. The summit is being held in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, on the sidelines of the Eighth Africa Union's ordinary session and the president's report received overwhelming commendation from the 25 states signed up to the APRM.

In addition to this, the president cited plans for the construction of the 400MW capacity Bui dam as confirmation that Ghana is taking independent measures to boost its generation of electricity and said that Ghana was also exploring solar power and bio-diesel as alternative sources of power.
The power pool was created so Ghana could share it excess power with countries in the sub region who were struggling with electricity issue like Benin and Togo, Ivory Coast and Burkina, and as far as Nigeria if they could get their transmission issues sorted.

Nigeria never transmitted power to Ghana

That was a dream as at then.... Envisioning the day transmission lines could be inter connected for countries to share their excess electricity.

While Ghana connected Togo and Benin hence selling electricity to them in 2006,
Nigeria only managed to connect it transmission lines to Benin in 2020. 😂🤣

They should keep quiet at this stage. You have broken their empty skulls. You really know these empty people. grin

These facts are from Ghanaians themselves. They will Soon come and discredit it. I never knew we once supplied them even 1kw of electricity.

The only one I know was that about 10% of Ghana's population once lived in Nigeria. They were very many in Ibadan. I went to school with many of them and several of my teachers were Ghanaians. That was even many years after 'Ghana must go'. Their children could speak Yoruba just like the rest of us.

I guess that's why some of them could pass themselves off as half- Nigerians on this forum while at the same time cursing Nigeria and supporting Ghana against Nigeria. I was thinking if someone was half of this country and that country then they should be able to maintain neutrality.
🤣😂

Those were just words from them ECOWAS conference envisioning the power pool project .

Nigeria could not have sold electricity to Even Benin as far back as 2010 because it had no transmission lines going to Benin.😂🤣

I'm guessing you'll transmit the electricity by air, hence perfecting Tesla's vision

The Electricity Authority of Benin–Nigerian Electric Power Authority power interconnection project, jointly financed by the African Development Bank, the West African Development Bank, and the Economic Community of West African States, is one of the sparkling flagship projects for regional integration and cooperation in West Africa. Financed under the West Africa Power Pool program, the project connects Benin’s power grid (CEB) to that of Nigeria (NEPA). Since its completion in 2007, like a beacon, the project has broken dawn, lighting up vast areas of rural communities that were once in economic darkness. Today, one compelling transformation story is that electricity is now available in such rural communities as Alaari, Ihunbo, Idi-Ota, Ajilete, Oja-Erin, Sabo Ago Ilobi, Awuko Alongbon and Owode, to name a few.

Taxes are necessary to pay off Eurobond principal that is due this year - we need about 300-400B KES more - as our debt servicing will increase from 1.3/1.4 to 1.7/1.8 trillion. Then after that - our debt servicing will drop to 1.3 trillion.

In short we have one difficult year - and we would have escaped Ghana type of default mess.

This fear of not becoming like Ghana and Zambia in defaulting is killing some African countries silently.
Ghana and Zambia are now enrolled by World financial bodies amongst the 37 poor indebted countries. They may not access Eurobond market anytime soon, but this classification allows them get help and remove pressure off their necks.

Ghana and Zambia will take a decade to recover from their default. Being admitted to IMF program is start of long process to win back investors and creditors. Dont think creditors will lend to Ghana so soon after they defaulted. And if they do - they will demand very high interest rates - which again will lead to default - a cycle of default - like is happening in Ghana every 3-5 years.

Kenya has to work hard this year to escape such a mess.

Mad cow - looking for company in default misery - Kenya gov delayed some salaries for only 1 WEEK in april. The financial year ended last month - gov paid off everything - for all projects/activities - a first one in some time. Kenya gov in last two months has gotten almost 5-6 billion dollars. Things are looking up. IMF just gave us another 1 billion - forex reserves now 9B or more -

In fact we will likely buy back our eurobond - and float new one.

Poor Ghana - you beat elect Mahama - concentrate on your elections.

Ghana recovered in January of 2023 as said by the IMF.

Kenya will take 15 years, looking at how deeply you guys are digging yourself into more trouble.

Creditors are already loaning to Ghana as they realize that Ghana only spend 40% of it revenue on debt.

Kenya is only kicking the can down hill like it does every 2 years of seeking IMF bailout and doing selective default. Basically more suffering for Kenyans even when the current IMF program hasn't ended yet.

Kenyan govt delayed salaries for 3 months .....you're the one looking for misery in defaults after Kenya defaulted on several commercial loans.

Poor Kenya has it citizens on the streets as your country keep taking more slave debt from the IMF and WB to sink them deeper into poverty despite the fact that you guys should be reducing your debt intake in order to bring down your debt payment from 76% of revenue so that you won't keep borrowing to pay salaries.

As for Capita projects, you have forgotten about it completely because there's no money for that 🤣😂
