Yeah, this is what governance should be about, prompt responsiveness. I pray same responsiveness can be applied to fire incidents, building collapse, kidnap cases, armed robbery and most importantly, CORRUPTION CASES not only in Lagos but all over Nigeria.

Going by different flooding incidence, Nigeria ought to have produced many Olympic gold winners in swimming.

No condemnation neither hating here pls; lets call a spade a spade, what kind of life saving is this? they didnt come with life jacket, buoy, or a mini boat to convey flood stranded victims to a safer place in time, what if the flood suddenly turned to a life threaning issue. Taking a look at the last pix where about three people want to carry the only rescued boy while there are still other people to be saved inside the houses. I see this as 'notice me rescuing'.

It seems like we focus more on repairs than prevention. Following town planning guidelines and the (local) government fixing roads and drainages could have helped in reducing this.

The hazards of this event are:

1. Electrocution

2. Water-borne diseases

3. Drowning

Yorùbá ronú oo, Naija please think and stop being unreasonable. We need to think of the consequences of having irresponsible governments and leaders. We always do mind our business but see where it has got us to. We don't hold these guys to account, we save our own money then go and build our own personal houses hoping to be our own government. . . Ko le werk rara!

Please stop being selfish Nigerians, stop doing OYO. Hold these guys to account and stop celebrating mediocrity.

Kind gestures

Which one is kind gestures? That is their job; they are trained for it and that is the really reason they are paid (Rendering services to humanity). They are meant to render such life saving serving. Its just like seeing a doctor rescuing a sick person and you are telling him/her its a kind gesture. Doctors are trained to safe lives.
