On September 7th 2015, the petition against Rt. Hon. Onofiok Luke at the Akwa Ibom state House of Assembly election petition tribunal was struck out. Barr Victor C. Akpan of the All Progressives Congress (APC) had filed against the second term election of the House member representing Nsit Ubium state constituency who ran on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The case was struck out by the tribunal in Abuja for being "incompetent". RT. Hon. Onofiok Luke - Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, is the icon of leadership in our generation.
