How many leaders from the north have appeased us? Why do some people find it hard to call a spade a spade? God handed the office of the presidency to Jonathan on a platter of gold but he didn't utilize it. He didn't better the lives of Niger Deltans - the people from whose land Nigeria's economy depended on or used to depend on. Let's move away from ND for a minute. Can you tell me the tangible development Jonathan did for Easterners? Did he complete the second Niger Bridge? Did he build a seaport or airport in Anambra State? Isn't Anambra State the major commercial hub of the East? Let's be truthful for once. Thanks.

There is no gain saying that the current agitation of niger-delta is all politics n pocket. Remember during obj's Admn, cry for resource control could be heard at the top of Mount Everest with ibori(looter of Delta state) and now permanently retired DSP Alams (another rogue from Bayelsa) as the most vocal town criers. The hue and cries subsided with 13% derivation. Then came Yaradua's amnesty as well as Niger-delta min were born. But nothing of agitation for seccession during Gej.... noticed they all turn arms dealers and defence contractors threatening fire and brimstone on any who wud vote against GEJ...as long as they were having pipeline contracts, they didn't remember ND was under developed...all they knew it was one Nigeria.
But immediately their hero lost out and their source of income blocked, they have to revert to their usual game: if it not cru of marginalisation, it cry of environmental degradation. Hence the return to seccession music because a non-ND is in power.

If you care to notice, Abuja was developed by the FCDA / FCT ministry and virtually ALL of its managers have been northerners since inception. Abuja is now Nigeria's pride.

The ND ministry / NDDC have been run by southerners
since inception with very poor results. They have nothing to show for the colossal resources poured into the region. The ND is a shame to Nigeria

Compare the resources gulped by the FCDA since inception i.e 1990 to that gulped by the NDDC i.e 1999 and see if the NDDC doesn't dwarf the FCDA by far.

What would be the result if FCDA was run by Niger Deltans and NDDC run by northerners? I leave that to you.

Shut up if you don't know what to comment how do you mean their resources? When they use using money from Groundnut, Cocoa, etc to develop SS/SE did anyone complain? This is a natural resources and it all belong to FG and Nigerians what is your definition of their resources? If you claim it's their resources then some people will also be claiming ownership of seaport etc.

FG did not develop Lagos

ND is a combination of states and Abuja is a Federal capital.

The job of developing states belongs to the state governments and not the FG. This is the reason why the FG gave them extra money and NDDC that rest of Nigerians states doesn't get.

FG is already there with NDDC with NBillion budget every year that the ND son of the soil ND directors loot dry every year.

We know what ibori , and slams did with their money and Delta state is the largest debtor state in Nigeria with N700Billion debt, almost 2 times more than Lagos debt.
