I have nothing to say. It's GEJ I blame, for investing in these people who want their poor to remain poor by all means.
It's not GEJ that invested in those people but rather the government of the federal republic of Nigeria.

When you keep them illiterate, you keep them wretched.
And when you keep them wretched, you keep them OBEDIENT.

The Northern elites know exactly what they're doing by keeping their people illiterate and poor. They opposed those schools from the get go, because the schools would liberate their lower class from the shackles of ignorance and gullibility, and they can't have that.
They can't have a lower class capable of thinking for themselves, disecting their lies and rejecting them.
They can't have a lower class capable of challenging their UK-educated children in politics and leadership.
They can't have a lower class capable of rejecting their plates-of-rice inducements during election season.
They can't have a lower class capable of seeing them for what they truly are.
So, those schools are "expensive" because the results would "cost" their selfish political ambitions a lot.

As Lord Confucius would say, "He who knows nothing, doubts nothing".
By extension, he who knows nothing, questions nothing.
Where do you expect them to get obedient foot soldiers for their numerous pogroms against blasphemers of their prophet?
If these children are taught about family planning and population control, how do you expect their elites to get their numerous bloated votes and census figures to help them earn more federal allocation cheques?

The Northern criminals know EXACTLY what they're doing.

Anyway we have 993 days until May 29, 2019 when we can have a REAL change for all-round, all-inclusive progress.

cynthy2000:
With the current free fall of the Nigerian currency (Naira) against the major foreign currencies (Dollar, Pound, Euro etc.), the Nigerian government under president Muhammadu Buhari has stopped the sales of forex to parents of students studying abroad.

Parents of Nigerian students abroad who just last year obtained dollar at the then official exchange rate of ₦166 are now forced to obtain the dollar at the current parallel/black market rate of over ₦300. What this means is that parents who last year paid about ₦1.6 million for a $10,000 tuition fee abroad will now have to pay about ₦3 million for the same $10,000 tuition fee in foreign Universities/Colleges or withdraw their wards.

In an interview with Al Jazeera, President Buhari while responding to a question on the challenges faced by parents with kids in schools abroad, who are now facing the possibility of having to pull their kids out, simply said “If the country cannot afford it, so be it.”

When probed further by Al Jazeera's Martine Dennis about his children who obviously will continue their studies abroad, the president said "Those who can afford it, can still afford it. But for those who can’t, Nigeria cannot afford to allocate foreign exchange for those who decided to train their children outside the country. We can’t just afford it.”
“Well, that’s the true situation we are in.”

Is DullardPoo not also running the federal government of Nigeria
Why is his own government not also investing in the education of these children for our country's future?

Now I understand better why GEJ did all he did for the North but the more he worked, the more they hated him. hnmmmm
the elites hated Jonathan because he was carrying out a coup against them which is the disarming them of their most potent weapon(almajiris).
they also hated chief awolowo for this same reason when he said that he had three plans for the north which is education, education, education and rochas parading himself as an educationist would be opposed by the northern elites at the right time.

I've said it before that the parents of those children most take responsibility for their kids, if the government attempts to take care of them their parents will just continue to give birth to more children and dump them in the streets.

These northern leaders know what they are doing by refusing to let their subjects be exposed to sound education, they know that good education liberates, and they don't want their subjects liberated so that they won't stand up to challenge them or their kids now and in the future.

That's why education there seems to be always expensive.

The ignorance of their non-elite youths there is alarming and their leaders want it to remain like that so that those youths will be an easy tool in their hands.
Yes please wise and. Intelligent northerners try and advice your fellow brothers. That education is the main thing now, not. Forces or politics

You dey mind them

They have their ulterior motives for refusing to open the schools. Their ulterior motive is that they don't want their subjects liberated through education so that they won't be challenged by them. Good education liberates, they prefers their subjects shouting "ranka dede" to them each time the subjects are given peanuts instead of them to be educated and be like their children.

God dey sha!

They are dying of embarrassment that GEJ built for the poor, something that NO northern leader or head of state had ever done nor even advocated for, including Buhari, who prefers to be the champion of uneducated cattle herders.

What an irony.

Dear GEJ,
your legacies for themselves.

Your legacies are a constant source of bowel movements for the hypocrites.

One,of the greatest mistake Jonathan did while in office was trying to save the northern children from the grip of their oppressors who have children all over the world yet they want other people's children to serve their generation till eternity. Even the whites abandoned them to their fate.
Can anyone ask this funny governor what is expensive about almajiri schools that have been built and all structures put in place?. Ni wonder this apc/ Fulani / bororo and their Hausa slaves are trying hard to set this country backward. Pls note the more you talk about Jonathan the more your dirty secrets will be revealed.

They keep saying he didn't do anything but they keep speaking about the things he did by mistake.
He built the ultra-modern schools to give the almajaris qualitative education and take them off the streets but to run it, a gov says it's too expensive and asks for aid from USAID. But to come up with a performance indicator is too hard to do. Soon Jonathan will be blamed for the poverty of the North that has produced more leaders than any other region.

The same idiotic morón will collect that USAID and embezzle it. Can you even imagine that some dummies on front page are bashing GEJ here rather than using this opportunity to call their useless to order. That is how one of them spent N120m on coffin but still owes salaries. When Okorocha spent N600m on Xmas tree, pretty sure he got the bashing of his life even from Imo people.

Well, this news in one way or another, brings smile to my face because it exposes some fools in this country for who they are, hypocritical liars. Now they agree GEJ did something, by providing what they couldn't even afford to maintain..
