Chika Kenneth Odigwe wrote: "As a citizen, I have a part to play in the change, I agree. But I am not Adamawa state governor who cannot pay salaries and proudly proclaims he cannot maintain Al-majiri schools, but is ready to pay two hundred million naira (200,000,000) for hiring prayer warriors. I am not Katsina state governor who is owing salaries but is ready to budget over one hundred and twenty million naira (120,000,000) for pieces of metals called coffins that cost 40,000 naira a piece. I am not Kogi state governor who is owing salaries but can afford to guarantee loans of over 35 million naira (35,000,000) per person for functionaries whose salaries are a minute fraction of the said loan, to purchase cars. I am not the Delta state government that is still dishing milions to unecessary staff while essential staff are being owed backlog of salaries. I am not the sports minister who was ready to leave Amassadors of our nation stranded in a foreign land, few hours to their engagement somewhere else, only to continue with the embarassment of unpaid bills. I am not a Senator, or HOR member who insists on still earning the highest salaries in the world, in a third world country undergoing a recession without even as much as a succesful bill to show for it. I am not the President who after expressing disgust at the substantial number of aircraft on the Presidential fleet, still maintains them to this day. A President who has been silent in all the secret recruitments that have happened under his watch, some of them allegedly involving him personally. When you guys came in, you promised to be the change, it is hypocrisy putting the challenge back to us when its obvious you are not ready to play your part. No, you cannot be asking me to tighten my seat belt while you loosen yours." 1 Like 1 Share
