Just spotted a car made of wood at the Proudly Nigeria Expo holding at old parade ground Area 10 Abuja. The car actually works and was driven from Bida, Niger state.

 creativity!!! but bad from an engineering point of view reasons are. A. wood is a fragile material and cannot withstand tensile stress hence it will yield thereby causing catastrophe. B. the heat generated by the combustion engine is soo high that when acting on the wood it wears faster even the coolant (radiator) won't be of any help (maximum temperature a wood can withstand is around 400°F - 700°F with maximum of 8hrs) so you see the vehicle can not stand the test of time with such material  C. the lack of ductility in the wood will make it a disaster on any possible serious accident because it will just shatter the whole thing overall it's a nice creativity but a bad innovation |

What about those trucks that lift woods and goods from rural areas?
They are 70% wooden body. |

Nice innovations but the guy should kindly avoid where there's fire out break and he should ensure he go about with his umbrella in case its raining. But honestly Nigeria will get there one day. Rome is not built in a day, encourage and supports from the society and from the government will go a long way to skyrocket Nigeria to our dream land. |
