Collision of parents of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology and Ogbomoso indigenes have taken to street to protest the long shut down of the institution. Placards carrying parents, especially those of Ogbomoso, Oyo State indigenes stormed the Senate building of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology earlier today to pour our their grievances over the shut. They demand the Oyo State government take over of LAUTECH, calling for the evacuation of all students from Osun State origin. According to the protester, the protest was used to pass message across to the institution's Vice Chancellor, visiting Governors and other stakeholders. "Oyo State owned LAUTECH, we demand the take over of the institution, since the Osun State Government has failed it woefully. We are bittered over the unnecessary shut down of LAUTECH. We urge the vice chancellor not to sell out Lautech to Osun" one of the protester, who spoke to us on anonymity said. Recalled that the Ladoke Akintola University students have been sent home on mid-semester break since June, over non payment of lecturers and other workers salaries. http://www.metronaija.com/2016/09/photos-parents-protest-over-lautech.html 2 Likes 4 Shares

Lalasticlala, please push this to front page. LAUTECH students have been at home now, 3 Months + 5 Days. This is not acceptable. It's high time Osun State is kicked out of the arrangement, as it is evidence, Aregbesola is ridden in debt and cannot make any contributory payment to the lecturer's salaries. OYO State Government, please take over LAUTECH and safe the future of the students. **Btw: asking Osun indigenes to leave the school is out of place. (That is not the solution). Aregbesola at the moment is handicap. 15 Likes 2 Shares |

Firefire: The same Ajimobi that is owing state workers salaries should take over LAUTECH completely? He can't and that is the truth, it's better the school is handed over to the Federal Government (story for another day) in order to solve this lingering crises. 22 Likes 1 Share |

They should just sell the place to an organization that has the final resources to maintain the place and strike an agreement with them on how to recoup their money back. |

This is where we get it all wrong as Nigerians. Lauthec is an institution jointly owned by 2 states, if a state fails in his own capacity to discharge its duty, is it the students/workers from that state that has the blame? Simple and logical, channel your grievances to the ogbeni himself and free the students and workers from osun state from the stress. We need to move up in reasoning!!! 5 Likes 1 Share |
