Real names Samson Efe Akalusi, also known by stage name SMASHY hails
from Delta state, Nigeria. SMASHY finished his higher education from
Moshood Abiola Technical School Abeokuta Ogun State where he studied
Business Administration.
He discovered his talent at a tender age when he sang to himself
especially when doing his chores not knowing he was hypnotizing people
around with his unique vocals.
SMASHY decided to sing professionally after he was encouraged by the
big guns in the music Industry such as Legendary R&B artiste Paul Play
Dairo, Tunde Obe, the late Mr Nomoreloss and Legendary Reggae Artiste
Orits Wiliki after listening to his unique vocals.
SMASHY released his first single titled DESTINY officially in 2014,
with other killer tunes such as MY GIRL, SHADOW, WALKED AWAY, OLOOMI
with lots of cover songs to his credit such as RANGE ROVER
(Originally Man Down by Rihanna) which we would say it's more or less
a head to head combat on that of Simi's cover. I bet you didn't know
that Simi did a cover of Rihanna's song MAN DOWN where she talked
about a certain guy who's trying to woo her but doesn't have a 'Range
Rover' to be the one for her.
Range Rover by SMASHY is a song for every guy that has been dumped by
a girl for one silly reason or the other to listen to as you'd be
surprised what we guys go through everyday just because of a woman.
