However, the WHO also said on Wednesday that the pollution data from Onitsha was not necessarily reliable because it came from a single monitoring station. “It is difficult to get accurate measurements in Africa. You can get super-high readings, but ideally the measurements should be done over a year to include different seasons and times of day. The reading in Onitsha may be representative but not altogether reliable,” said a WHO spokeswoman. http://www.theguardian.com/environment/2016/may/12/which-are-the-worlds-two-most-polluted-cities-and-why Anyway, the above is from the WHO on the so called polluted cities stat. |

Per fucking please. is this not how in year 2011-2014 we had yoloba parading this propaganda all over the media about osun. Hell even pathetically took it up a notch and made a "study" stating that Osun state GDP is higher than SE and how osun does not depend on federal government allocation...immediately the oil prices dropped and allocation fell, the so called "7th largest economy in Nigeria" which made billions in 3 years became the poorest state in Nigeria history and owing salaries they claimed they'll never owe Is it also not how yoloba propaganda that cocoa was the highest crop revenue before the introduction of crude oil...recently, a member on NL exposed that palm oil was indeed the highest revenue, not cocoa. Was this also not how yoloba propaganda the revenue of cocoa in this days of age till the point Noone knows the actually amount cocoa brings to the government FG. Claiming that cocoa revenue is 10 billion dollars which hilariously enough billions times larger that two African nations (Ghana and ivory coast) that export more Cocoa than SW https://www.nairaland.com/2496058/debunking-latest-lie-nigeria-did Per fucking please

As I asked before and I'll continue to ask it.. If SW states revenue is as large as they propaganda all over the media, and contribute such high income then someone explain the mystery of the states screaming BROKE!!!!!! If their income is as high as you claim una are, then the states should have been able to sustain themselves even during the recession Nigeria is currently experiencing ( case in point: Anambra state, Kano state and Lagos state) yet ironically enough, similar to Osun state propaganda that got exposed after drop of oil prices..likewise the rest of Southwaaste states. If SW is truly the second highest revenue then how come churches are sending/donating food, among other necessities to people of Southwest states like as if the south is currently in a refuge camp. There is a reason why Yoloba are known as propaganda Queens of Nigeria and why NONE ever pays mind to anything written about you lots by you lots. Your propaganda never matches your reality. 1 Like

That you are running faster than me is the truth, but it's also true that you are still lagging behind me, despite your speed. Ibadan is running very fast to catch up to Enugu, but in truth, it's still lagging way behind Enugu. https://www.nairaland.com/2031155/enugu-makes-history-joins-worlds |

Moreover, that Euromonitor article was talking about "Fastest growing sub Saharan African cities in terms of CONSUMER SPENDING". Not fastest growing economy or infrastructurally speaking. But even at that, that it's stat is debatable as had been clarified here: https://www.nairaland.com/3294626/abuja-ibadan-port-harcourt-make-euromonitor/5 |
Re: The South-West contributions to Nigeria's economy and other myth-busting facts by Igboid: 9:15pm On Sep 14, 2016 |
Moreover the euromonitor was talking about fastest growing cities in terms of consumer spending, not necessary fastest growing in terms of infrastructures or better city standards, yet Brown roofers turned it on its head to read it as fastest growing, without stating that it's about fastest growing in consumers spending power and nothing more. Is this how desperate these people are? And to make it worst, they started dragging SE into their mediocrity But even at that, does Ibadan as city have higher consumer spending power than Eastern cities like Onitsha, Enugu, and Aba? Well, one way of looking at the consumer spending power is looking at the rate of cash flow in the system, and in this regard, Oyo the state Ibadan is found in trails behind Anambra- Onitsha and Enugu- Enugu, so pray tell, how exactly did this euromonitor woman manufacture her stats that these Yorubas are jumping and tripping over? |

How exactly can Ibadan have more consumer spending power than Enugu and Onitsha, when both cities have more money flowing in them than Ibadan, even though they both have lesser populations? The woman that made the Euromonitor analysis needs a brain transplant Surgery ASAP. |

Henrydone: Guy, e don do. That guy you are exchanging banters with is a hopeless stubborn e-goat. He's immuned to facts so don't even bother. Na you go tire if you're expecting him to acknowledge any of the facts that are starring him in the face on this thread. The Enugu he's hyping here is so irrelevant and insignificant that even Aba and Onitsha sef are pulling more weight that it today -- inspite of those two being amongst the two most polluted cities in the world. Won kere si number. The entire SE is an economic wasteland, which explains why they're experiencing massive emigration that has made them become the least populated region in the entire country, not to mention mad brain-drain they're also experiencing. Allow him to continue believing his own hype since it obviously makes him feel better about himself and his pitiful tribe. 4 Likes |
