Authorities of the University of Lagos have warned candidates seeking placement in the institution to shun any admission notification that comes through a text message. Such a message, according to the institution, is a scam, as it does not offer admission to students by text messages. The clarification comes amid the rising anxiety among candidates over their admission status for the 2016/2017 academic session. Six months after the release of this year’s universities Matriculation Examination conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, many candidates have yet to know their fate. But in an online statement obtained by our correspondent from its website on Monday, the university said, “It has come to the notice of the university authorities that a text message is being sent to prospective students by unknown persons notifying them that they have been given admission into the University of Lagos. “This is a scam. The message did not emanate from the University of Lagos. “Members of the public are advised to ignore this message as the University of Lagos does not send text messages to admitted candidates and it does not require anyone to call any number. “The University website is the only authentic source of information on admissions.

Some people have already mapped out money to e use to "runs" their admission.
They will never rest until they waste that money.
Same thing apply to some students on campus

That is the trend and many will be disappointed
