How Do I Remember It All ... ? BODMAS !

Am sure some of our teachers have taught us (especially those of us with public school background) the wrong thing by equation the "O" to mean (off).Even when we try to ask what 'off' means,they either flog us or ask us to keep "kwayet" lol.
But thank God for the internet.

Orders (i.e. Powers and Square Roots, etc.)

Division and Multiplication (left-to-right)
AS
Addition and Subtraction (left-to-right).

I suggest you remember PEMDAS instead. It is easier to remember.

Orders are mostly not been taught in primary schools, and if thought, it will be a breif and introductory topic. but an average primary 6 student should know bracket comes before division and division comes before addition, so 'of' is put in place of 'order' to make it easier for the students to understand instead of putting order that can confuse them.
