we are in need of volunteer counselors to work online.

Dilemma group is a volunteer organization of people interested in helping those in dire need of communication, those in dsitress who in situations they find it hard to come out from on their own. We currently have an android application on which users are allowed to communicate with counselors completely free of charge.

Dilemma app is a friendly community of volunteer counselors willing to assist individuals develop and fulfill their potentials, Dilemma is meant to cater to a wide range of issues ranging from but not limited to, depression, addiction (alcohol, drug, sex, porn e.t.c), marital issues, domestic violence, rape, suicide, financial stress, mentorship, love and relationships. On Dilemma, users would find a path to connecting with friendly, listening and caring volunteers. Dilemma is meant to offer a private one on one confidential discussion between counselors and clients, and in some cases, clients are referred to an appropriate resource in the community. Ordinarily, clients requesting or needing long-term treatment are referred to appropriate services.

About the Volunteer counselor position:Responsibilities

There are various models of counselling, each with its own theoretical basis. Differences in approach can relate to the individual practitioner's interests and training, the setting in which the counselling consultation takes place, or the predominant client group.

Counsellors working in particular fields (e.g. relationship guidance, addiction, sexual abuse or health) tend to specialise in the models most used in those areas.

1. establishing a relationship of trust and respect with clients;
2. agreeing a counselling contract to determine what will be covered in sessions (including confidentiality issues);
3. encouraging clients to talk about issues they feel they cannot normally share with others;
3. actively listening to client concerns and empathising with their position;
4. accepting without bias the issues raised by clients;
5. helping clients towards a deeper understanding of their concerns;
6. challenging any inconsistencies in what clients say or do;
7. helping clients to make decisions and choices regarding possible ways forward;
8. referring clients to other sources of help, as appropriate;
9. attending supervision and training courses;
10. liaising, as necessary, with other agencies and individuals to help make changes based on the issues raised by clients;
11. working to agreed targets in relation to client contact;

Minimum of HND in relevant field
