I am confused, why are you trying to connect dreamweaver to mysql, or maybe I don't understand what answer you looking for. I am thinknig you should use dreamweaver to FTP files, and you connect to mysql via php. Please can you give more details maybe then one can make any sense of what you are saying.

If you are trying to create a mysql based website, then you really should download a webserver package such as xammp or wampserver to create a local testing server on your system. You can then link to the database by writing out a php script.

Doing it this way will make your life easier and is faster than connecting to a remote host. It might be your webhost dropping that kind of connection.

Good luck with your coding!

Use blob format or u can as well move the image to a folder in ur site directory using php copy() and store a link to the image location in ur table. Hope u understand

Hi, this is a very good tutorial that will help you http://devzone.zend.com/article/627, its easy to understand and you will get to know all the basics, as long as you follow the lessons from Part 1. Its a great source, and you will also be able to do php and mysql and know what to do to connect to database.
