Over the weekend, the Lagos State Government commenced the official commissioning of the 114 Roads project constructed across 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in the State. However, it appears there is no solace in sight for residents of Coker-Aguda, Lagos owing to the difficulties experienced using roads in the area. When InsideMainland visited the community, it was discovered that roads in the area requires urgent attention to ensure it fits the plans of Lagos morphing into a true mega city. The Adetola, Adegunwa, Ayo Elegbede, Adefowope and Solola streets in Coker-Aguda are in terrible shape and causes residents and road users lots of trouble as they ply the routes daily. The different pot holes on the roads also cause regular traffic gridlock for commuters on a daily basis. InsideMainland gathered from a shop owner on Adetola Street, Mr. John Ikechukwu that when it rains, the road becomes a complete nightmare for commuters. “We can’t use the road if it rains continuously for days because of how bad it is. I hope so ooo. Oladimeji/ Sholabomi/ Adetola and the environ really need to be looked into. Even the Brown road Fashola did hasn't been maintained. Aguda seems to be ignored. That canal is an eyesore. |

Abeg o.... Make them add Opeolu/Mulero Street. Though a lot of houses will be demolished, but it's for the greater good jare |

arlomah: Mulero busstop. It's off Ipaja road, where the local Government secretariat/registry z located. There z a.primary health centre on the street. The two streets r d same but different section bear different names |
