"All Promises Cancelled" is working

This picture is soo recent, actually drove pass this road 2 months ago when i was in benin city to connect sapele road to upper sakponba vai erediawa road, it was really bad, but suprisinly enough alot of roads contruction is actually going on in this same place, before you blame oshoimole or APC govt, most of upper sakponba road are now really in good shape even 3rd east circular and most of upper sakponba, hopefully who ever comes in continues

The road is terrible.

You can't even take a cab here. The cab drivers aren't even entering the road. You can't drive your own car.
@psammy1122, the upper sokponba side isnt what we r talking about. Doyou know that erosion has chased some people out of their houses?

Is PDP better? The answer is no because there's lack of trust. Go to Bayelsa,Delta and see the damage PDP is doing there. To be Honest with you APC performed fairly in EDO States compared to other States. Personally I don't buy the idea of two party system because citizens of the state wouldn't be able to choose from different aspirants

How many roads you go fit mention?? Sometimes i wonder if benin city is actually a state capital or something, I am not from benin but i am product of University of Benin. Having spent four years in benin, without sentiments or fear i can state here that majority of the roads in benin city are in a sorry state!! Note, before you quote me i am not comparing anyone's tenure in office and how effectively they have been able to use the allocation accrued to them judiciously. However, what is worth doing is worth doing well... My candid opinion!

Lets not turn this topic into anything political, I really don't give a sh*t who is in power all I know is that the people of the state are suffering.

In Lagos state, Ikorodu to be precise, the roads are 100% better.

I passed that place going to Santana market this morning

This road was constructed by nddc in 2002/2003, starting from santana market down to etete primary sch nd beyond is quit immotorable.
But apart from the ppaces oshimole constructed,generally the entire benin city is like dis anyway,there far worse places.
Oshiomole has done his best,let next gov. Continue from where he stopped.
IT WILL TAKE THE ENTIRE BUDGET OF NIGERIA FOR 20YRS TO FIX EDO ROAD PROBLEMS.

When we keep on voting for APC or PDP, that is the result "truncated progress". Is it not possible to look beyond APC + PDP. This 2 parties have failed woefully.

What is this one saying, Igbenedion? Mentioning him alone have soiled your argument, in terms of road Oshomole tried alot, leave political party and all sentiment out, he tried.

The witches and wizards in Benin will never allow any governor to WOR in Edo state. Mark my words even if you bring obama to govern Edo state he will still fail. But let is see if the pastor will perform the miracle. PDP all the way.

Ekewan road is a major road and it is in a sorry state. Those in power in Edo state don't they use the roads? or are they blind? there is only one good road in Benin and that is Airport road

Very correct. The only road in benin dat doesn't hv pot hole. But it usually floods wen there is heavy downpour around first bank area down to oko central junction.

The poor nature of this road has made life unbearable for residents in the area as a result of the persistent rain fall and commercial activities has been slowed down. The Road connects the Benin Sapele Road with Upper Sokponba area of town. The importance of this road are enormous, apart from the economic importance as it links two markets together, the 3rd market and the Popular Santana market, it will also reduce the much dreaded traffic in sapele road in the morning and evening periods.

I am bringing this up, using Nairaland as an avenue to call on government and relevant authorities to come to our rescue.

The contractor had stopped working on the site for many months now and the road has been allowed to get to this state.

I hope this gets the required coverage as life is no longer pleasant. People now park their cars at home due to the nature of the road.

Send the pictures to channels eye witness news coverage and it may get the attention you seek.

Maybe you just traveled down to Uniben or ekosodi recently because before now, in 2007, 2008 period, that picture you saw was all over Benin city no place spared, when I say all, read my lips i mean all.

There are still so many bad roads in benin, the next incoming governor should try not to focus on redecorating the major roads that are still very okay, inter-connecting roads need gutters and should be tarred as they'll go a long way in easing traffic issues in the city.

oshiomole did not construct any federal road. It was claims as yours made FMW to stamps it LOGO on all the roads that was done by the federal government.
