As social creatures, the experience of belonging to a community is very important to us. What we can’t do in person we often chose to do online. This brought about the term “social networking” which has the capacity to drive huge profit for people who know how to harness it very well.

Blogs (web log):

Exist in many forms, most of which are personal (individual keep) and public, definitely created to achieve a specific goal. The goals now depends on individual’s carrier or passion hence the advent of the statement “anybody can blog but not everybody can create value or money blogging.

Blogging is a profession which you must have to acquire as a skill before projecting yourself into it. It is a way of writing to the benefit of others and the same time enjoying what you are passionate about while making money also. No writing and no blogging but it doesn’t mean you have to be a writer before you can blog. In fact, anybody can be trained in the carrier of blogging. The issue there is, do you have what you are passionate about or have you any experience in the past?

That brings us to the question, WHO IS SUPPOSED TO BE A BLOGGER?
Well, with the Nigerian concept and the way we carry out certain activities in this country, I’ve come to realize that our youths failed to imbibe the culture of value before the physical money. But whether you like it or not, there is nothing that you can equate value with, value is bigger than money and there is no real money without actual value. Remember, it is good to have hope but don’t forget that hope is never a strategy. So, if you dream to bundle millions don’t forget to create value as a channel to seeing those millions become a reality. Due to the mind-set our predecessors created for us long time ago, we intend to pursue money forgetting what brings about the increase in money. Few years ago, like early 2009/10 when blogging was starting to gain popularity in Nigeria. A lot of young people went into blogging with that Nigerian mentality of rushing where we can quickly get the money. But to no avail their hopes were dashed on the ground as early as they could and recently, so many of them failed as bloggers.

Though there are bloggers in Nigeria but, there is no contemporary blogger in this country now. Many misunderstood the idea of blogging and approached it in the wrong directions. That is why most internet marketers and self-acclaimed bloggers in Nigeria could avert immediately, trying to convince the people that, blogging don’t give money. Typical lies coming from frustrated people who lack passion and the propreneuers spirit.

Then, what is the advent of social network? Is it not blog? Why are international bloggers like Yaro Starak of Brisbane (Australia) making millions of dollar annually with just one blog?
The problem with us is that, we like to do what others did that is why everybody made the mistake of venturing into magazine and news model of blogging like Linder Ikeji and others and when they could not make a dime from Google adsense which is the only source of income they knew. Then, it became obvious to them that they should quit.
