All these pyramid and quick money things easily trap the greedy. This MMM look similar to Wonder Bank that was popular some years ago. In these schemes you win small and lose big. Beware!

And i was about to invest N50k into it this week. shocked

Do u know that 30% of 50k is 15k?
Instead of doing invisible investment with 50k to get a profit of 15k, why not use it to even trade pure water? I bet u'll get more thank 15k profit.

No matter how much you warn them against investing in such schemes, they'll only call you enemy of progress. Till now, none of the MMM agitators has been able to explain exactly where the 30% profit on investment comes from. Even though some people made money out of the scheme, it is still what it is- a Ponzi scheme, and people will definitely lose money.

They will not listen, even wen its so clear that its scam, more and more people will still look for money to borrow and invest in the scheme, only to be expecting 30% dat will never come!
Re: Thousands Of Zimbabweans Lose Money As MMM Crashes by weedfada(m): 10:58am On Sep 26, 2016
MMM will crash either by internal or external forces. This is the wrongest time for anyone to invest... I don talk my own o! After loosing millions in gold package which is a replica of this, I wouldn't advice anyone to go into this MMM. Ponzi Scheme of the highest order ni... 30% ROI "doing nothing" after 30days is outrageous!!! After speed, Greed kills.

this can't happen in Nigeria.... our population is far above the number of participants in Zimbabwe... currently more than 700,000 members are participating in MMM Nigeria compared to just 150,000 in Zimbabwe.

Okay, I would give you a brief description in lay man terms of how it works

This is how it works, all the MMM participants help each other with spare part of their money. For instance if you register today, u will indicate d amount you can provide for help, once u done that, your money start growing (interest) immediately, but your actual money is still in your pocket, because MMM does not have a central account. After some days or weeks, d system will pair u with another member, that u should help d member with d amount u stated while registered, after some days another member will also help u with d amount u paid earlier and d interest, so it will start rotating like that.

When u request, u r matched with some one few minutes later.D person z given 48hrs to pay u.
So within two days u r paid

So what if all these news spook participants and the number of new "helpers" drop, falling below the numbers that request for help, what happens? I tell you that the scheme will collapse soon in Nigeria. It is just a matter of time.

Hian, make I hold on first b4 I go bank coz I just matched with another participant wey I go pay now.I fink it can't crash in Nigeria like that coz of the population factor which influence the rapid growth in investment. It can only crashes if people are no more participate and participants were withdrawing their money.......

Anyway, life itself is a risk.

Which investment? That is one of the things people have criticized about MMM, no one knows how the income is generated. Maybe na blood money sef cheesy

The much waited train wreck!

Nigerians should get ready!

Unfortunately this ain't like stocks or other type of investment instruments that you can easily sell your investment due to future speculations of a major decline in its value

Just wait for it to hit you hard!

Although I know a few guys that benefited from MMM

The scheme advertises itself as a mutual aid fund under which recruited members contribute money to assist others and are promised investment returns of 30 percent per month. Some of the people left counting their losses told The Herald that they received emails that the scheme had been suspended until September 15.

Stale news. The article is even dated 02-09-2016. The people who aren't in the system can't understand what happened, and there's no point explaining to non-members, let them continue to bask in media propaganda and conspiracy to cause panic. Also no system can function forever.
Besides, I don't know why non-members are the ones complaining, afterall it's not affecting them.
