Armed youth said to be cultists numbering over 50, were at the weekend said to have attacked a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Kazeem Aliyu, at Coker Junction, along the Orile and Aguda area of the state. The cultists had intercepted his car along the road, attacking him with guns and cutlasses and were in the process of gaining access into the vehicle before security personnel came to his rescue.
