 A gang of robbers in the.
early hours of this morning
mounted a daring raid on
the Igumale Police Station in
Ado LG of Benue Station.
According to police sources
who spoke to IPN , the
robbers stormed the police
station on Motorbikes
around 12am, attacked the 5
policemen on duty out of
which one was killed and
the other four injured.
Among the injured, one later
died in the hospital bringing
the total number of fatalityto two, a Hausa and an Idoma man of Agatu descent. The robbers made away with all the guns and ammunitions in the police station which seems to be the target attack. A call by the IPN to the police station confirmed this attack. As at the moment of filing this report, the DPO of the station was being ferried to a safe place.
