Ikomi:Lol . . . no comment except for this . . . how exactly did you conduct your research? |
Re: Anger At US Mixed Marriage 'ban' by blackspade(m): 8:44pm On Oct 16, 2009 |
@ bawomolo Can you clear up something you said earlier? When you say people who are opposed to mixed relationships are racist, do you mean the ones who oppose other peoples' mixed relationships, or the ones who have their own personal preference of not wanting to date outside of their race? If its the latter then call me a racist all you'd like. I have very little interest in women who are not black, and I definitely have no interest in marrying, let alone creating mulatto offspring with a woman who is not black. You might call it racist, but I call it preference. |
Re: Anger At US Mixed Marriage 'ban' by bawomolo(m): 8:46pm On Oct 16, 2009 |
Kobojunkie: his solution isn't practical IMO. he is trying to avoid the problem (preventing racial mixing) rather than tackling the problem (less prejudice) blackspade: people who oppose other people's mixed relationships. if you are not into white or asian chicks cuz they no fine, that's your preference |
Re: Anger At US Mixed Marriage 'ban' by Kobojunkie: 8:51pm On Oct 16, 2009 |
bawomolo: So, it is wrong for one man to decide, after all the hate he has seen, to avoid the problem? but it is better for another to allow It to continue, believing that maybe by the second, third, fifth, sixth etc generation , he may have come up with a way to have IMPOSED his VIEW, of less prejudice, on everyone who do not currently agree with him, he can somehow solve it that way? |
Re: Anger At US Mixed Marriage 'ban' by Ikomi(m): 8:53pm On Oct 16, 2009 |
JeSoul: If everyone permits me, I shall answer your question although it might sound rude, but I have asked for permission. Answer: Where do you think the idea of dildos came from, in black Africa they never invented anything like dildos, you know why? Cause the men are walking dildos. |
Re: Anger At US Mixed Marriage 'ban' by oyinda3(f): 8:54pm On Oct 16, 2009 |
mixed raced kids usually do have tons of identity issues. no kidding. and the mixed marriages don't usually last too long. but that justice has a prejudice IMO. that's not a good reason enough not to wed them. that's like saying blacks are more likely to be criminals so therefore i won't allow blacks into my store. isn't that racist? anyways it's a free world. i'm sure there are plenty other justices willing to take up the role of marrying mixed couples. |
Re: Anger At US Mixed Marriage 'ban' by Kobojunkie: 8:55pm On Oct 16, 2009 |
Ikomi: If believing that makes you feel good about yourself, continue!!! |
Re: Anger At US Mixed Marriage 'ban' by oyinda3(f): 8:56pm On Oct 16, 2009 |
Ikomi: i thought african women didn't like sex. and were boring in bed. why would they need dildos? i think the crazier freakier girls will like it more. it was invented for them. |
Re: Anger At US Mixed Marriage 'ban' by JeSoul(f): 8:57pm On Oct 16, 2009 |
Ikomi:How knows you? for all we know they simply 'improvised' in the absence of these 'tools' This your research get as e be . . . lol |
Re: Anger At US Mixed Marriage 'ban' by Uche2nna(m): 8:58pm On Oct 16, 2009 |
The man should set aside his personal opinion and do his damn job And why is that when most of these racists are called out, they make start making up imaginary black friends. I have piles and piles of black friends, who cares!!! Mr Bardwell, who has worked in the role for 34 years, said that in his experience most interracial marriages did not last very long and estimated that he had refused applications to four couples in the past two-and-a-half years. LOL!!! For a Justice of peace, this guy can really play the part of a clown. America is almost the divorce capital of the world and it has nothing to do with interracial marriages |
Re: Anger At US Mixed Marriage 'ban' by oyinda3(f): 9:01pm On Oct 16, 2009 |
the comment about hosting the "black friends" in his bathroom was just hilarious to me. what an awkward thing to mention. |
Re: Anger At US Mixed Marriage 'ban' by Kobojunkie: 9:04pm On Oct 16, 2009 |
oyinda.: Most everyone who has had to defend himself/herself from charges of racism throws one of those in to show how open they are to people of other races. This sort is obtained from both blacks and whites accused of being racist. |
Re: Anger At US Mixed Marriage 'ban' by Uche2nna(m): 9:09pm On Oct 16, 2009 |
Kobojunkie: Yeah, and the bathroom comment? They use my bathroom, what is that supposed to achieve? Intergration? Why is it a big deal that he allows a black man to use his bathroom? It must have meant a whole lot to him for him to bring it up. |
Re: Anger At US Mixed Marriage 'ban' by Kobojunkie: 9:17pm On Oct 16, 2009 |
Uche2nna: Judge as you want . |
Re: Anger At US Mixed Marriage 'ban' by vanitty: 9:24pm On Oct 16, 2009 |
Besides how the heck is he not racist? he made a stupid judgement based on their skin colour If that ain't racism then what is. The frigging president is mixed, if any of Mr bardwell fully non-diluted white kids can turn out half as good as Obama, then he better thank his lucky star. If that statement was coming from someone that thinks Africa was a country and we all live on trees, then it will be more understandable not from someone that is meant to be for peace . . . . . and here we have some trying to defend the undefendable. |
Re: Anger At US Mixed Marriage 'ban' by bawomolo(m): 9:32pm On Oct 16, 2009 |
Uche2nna: back in the day, them coloreds (oh wait we can't call em that anymore) weren't worthy enough to share the same toilet facilities with me but now am nice enough for them to use my bathroom |

Some americans are worst than the talibans in their beliefs because they are mostly so called-educated people, born foolish, remain foolish and die, despite having been to harvards or yales. How can a learned person be in the dark? |
Re: Anger At US Mixed Marriage 'ban' by TayoD1(m): 12:30am On Oct 17, 2009 |
@topic, Just a question. If the law is all that matters, would priests be asked to marry gay couples in States that permit such even though their conscience and faith dictate otherwise? |
Re: Anger At US Mixed Marriage 'ban' by Nobody: 12:32am On Oct 17, 2009 |
so - would you call a pastor/registrar tribalist if he refused to marry a yoruba and an ibo because 'mixed tribe marriages don't last?' |
Re: Anger At US Mixed Marriage 'ban' by Nobody: 1:23am On Oct 17, 2009 |
@ topic the couples involved are free to get married elsewhere or sue the judge. Its their call. |
Re: Anger At US Mixed Marriage 'ban' by chika98: 1:27am On Oct 17, 2009 |
Goes to show that we are still in the dark ages here. I'd sue if I were them |
Re: Anger At US Mixed Marriage 'ban' by Kobojunkie: 1:34am On Oct 17, 2009 |
Tayo-D: Excellent question cause judging by how these things go, this will likely be the next we will see. People lambasting and labelling the pastors as ignorant and working against the law even when it does not seat well with their conscience. |
Re: Anger At US Mixed Marriage 'ban' by bawomolo(m): 3:38am On Oct 17, 2009 |
the church isn't a government building like the justice of peace. homosexual would probably have to marry in city hall. oyb: good question |
Re: Anger At US Mixed Marriage 'ban' by Kobojunkie: 4:00am On Oct 17, 2009 |
bawomolo: Neither is the man in question the property of the government. He is only a worker in the building and has his own beliefs which ought to be respected by his employer, government or non. A government worker is NOT Government property or a ROBOT. |

^^^^^^ Remember Mark Furhman? i seem to remeber some nasty stuff that came out in the OJ trial - the dude would manufacture charges to arrest interracial couples or some such - there's not that much difference between him and the judge, imho so should his beliefs also have been respected by the LAPD? and some other funny stuff i found googling mark furhman - interracial couple http://squat.net/tmc/msg03681.html It doesn’t end with sexual harassment. I was in an interracial relationship in Los Angeles as a teen, and the LAPD also found a need to hassle us endlessly. As a white girl, it was a wake-up call, regarding the way police interact with minorities, and their interracial lovers. When I heard ex-LAPD cop Mark Furman say during the O.J. Simpson trials, that he routinely harassed interracial couples as a cop, I knew he was being honest. Once I was sitting alone on a park hill in LA with my lover at dusk, and I swear to god, we were assaulted by 3 police cars, 6 police officers, and a helicopter with a spotlight on us. They rolled the cop cars up onto the grass, jumped out with guns, and told us to “drop the blanket.” We did. They searched us, they asked my black boyfriend if he was part of gangs, clubs…when he asked what they were talking about, they literally said, “Are you in the Black Panthers?” I was stunned. He replied he was in the Ku Klux Klan. The police called my parents and told them I was in a park with a black man. My parents said they knew that! Finally, the police left. There was no crime being committed except two interracial lovers sitting on a hill at dusk! I learned early on that police are NOT to be trusted. |
Re: Anger At US Mixed Marriage 'ban' by Kobojunkie: 4:47am On Oct 17, 2009 |
oyb: Well, I am glad you state there that it is YOUR OPINION, but it seems you are quick to lump the two together without considering here the BIG DIFFERENCE. The one USED THE LAW to get his WAY, while the other did not BREAK THE LAW but out of respect for the LAW suggested they have another judge marry them without trying to make HIS OPINION LAW. oyb:The Mark Furhman case is completely different from this. For one He IMPOSED his own belief on people as being LAW, and when that happens, then there is a problem. oyb: I think you need to read the article again to see that this is NO MARK FURHMAN. This is simply a man with a belief that he wants respected, and out of respect for the belief of others, he is UNWILLING TO USE the law to boost his side but rather refers the couple to other justices who can better help them. In our bid to push POLITICAL CORRECTNESS, we ought to be sure not to infringe on an individual's right to an opinion and a choice. This man's choice not to marry mixed couples has nothing to do with RACISM, and personally, I think, even if we do not agree with him, we ought to respect his right. He makes it clear that he has been judge for 34 years. To then decide him an slowpoke that needs to be ousted because he does not believe everything, according to how we want him to, shows how far some of us are willing to go to get everyone to think, and do as we say. |
Re: Anger At US Mixed Marriage 'ban' by Nobody: 5:17am On Oct 17, 2009 |
the judge simply got free publicity and now he's getting more. People who live down there know how things are. Affected people have a choice of marrying elsewhere because its one thing to force someone to marry you and quite another to enjoy that marriage. I dont like wedding ceremonies where everyone is wearing long face as if they're in mourning. |

Re: Anger At US Mixed Marriage 'ban' by redsun(m): 6:53pm On Oct 17, 2009 |
Some people live in bondage of hate, spite, subjective, negative beliefs and expects to be happy. They are conditionally happy because their idea of joy is conditional. How can one love and hate at the same time?it's not possible, love is the opposite of hate. |
