To those who do not know the implication of having a central government in Anambra, just consider the dredging of River Niger alone what good and multiplier effect it will bring. The power to do this lies with federal government. I think Soludo is the best of them because he is daring, A BIG THINKER, a dreamer. Just that Anambra will need a stronger house of assembly under him, he needs to be checked really. Judging soludo by the latest development in the banking industry is just like judging El-rufai by his excesses in Abuja. We all know the positives are far more than the shortcomings. A look at Abuja just after two years will convince you of this. |

Anambra is a strategic state in the south east and Nigeria as a whole, with a concentration of intellectuals unarguably the finest in the land. From Nnamdi Azikiwe, Chinua Achebe, Phillip Chukwurah Emeagwali, Pius Nwabufo Okigbo, Chinwuba Okadigbo, Alex Ifeanyichukwu Ekwueme, the list is endless. She has always had this problem of leadership since 1999, from Mbadinuju the handbag of former godfather, Emeka Offor, to Ngige, a product of a rigged election who later turned against his sponsor, Uba. The rest of the story we all know up till when the stolen mandate was restored. Obi has in the past 3 years been on his stride trying to put anambra back on the path where Ngige was towing, that hasn't been easy i must say. Now comes this Soludo distraction! quite frankly, i don't see Soludo performing any magic in Anambra! CBN governorship and state administration are not same. If u doubt me ask edo governor, Adams Oshiomhole. I'd like to see Obi continue or better still AC win and Ngige coming in. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH FOR PEOPLES' DESTRUCTION PARTY! |

Obiem CBN Governorship and being President of a pressure group is not the same thing either. As CBN Governor Soludo occupied an executive position where he made tough decisions, fashioned strategic policies, showed his pragmatic and healthy dictatorial sides at times and also had the grit and still to fend off personal attacks. If all these qualities are not good enough to prepare someone for the pressures of the Governors office I don't know what is. It will be nice if you can tell me the qualities Peter Obi had before he became Governor that Soludo does not have right now. Soludo is no Oshiomole. Oshiomole as NLC President had the luxury of criticising everyone else and took responsibility over nothing. It is no suprise that the Governor's office where you have actual responsibilities feels very strange to Oshiomole. The same can not be said of an ex-CBN Governor because as CBN Governor you do have actual responsibilities. |

mikeansy I didn't mean to actually compare being a leader of a pressure group to that of a CBN governor, i was just hinting that both offices are not politically inclined. Soludo is an intellectual i must admit, but can he sterm the murky waters of politics? That's my concern. Another angle is his(Soludo's) sudden u-turn into politics, is it really borne out of the need to help develop anambra or it's just some kind of political refuge while all the series of CBN audit linger? I'm tempted to agree with you to an extent on his potential capabilities, which of course remains to be seen outside the CBN. |

This professor of economics will turn out to be VERY ECONOMIC in many aspects and we don begin see chicken nyash. If these signs are not enough for people to open their eyes, his association with fixers and the PDP magic that gave him a ticket should convince all right thinking people. There is no need making further references as what is coming out from his last assignment enough. |
