Yoruba hadn't betrayed the ss when Ezeoke and Okadigbo were running mates. Now there is a new and emerging power bloc - the se/ss. And Yoruba will reap the consequence of their betrayal. All we need to do is get a part of middle belt that has a natural affiliation to the South eg Kogi, Benue, plateau, nasarawa and the Yoruba vote wouldn't matter because it is naturally worthless - always split half like how APC and PDP shared it 60 - 40 in the last election

This is perhaps the most clueless reasoning and comment!!

It's simple, you go against Jagaban you cannot WIN! This is simple pure math, 2019 there will be a Northerner as president. The North can be split 50/50 if Tinubu's APC forms a new party and presents a credible Northerner as a candidate. The SE/SS will vote for that candidate as long as the Vice presidential candidate is from that region, the SW will unanimously vote for Tinubu's APC and there you have it!

***DISCLAIMER***

We all know how stupid Nigerian politicians can be, all it takes is for money to change hands and we have Tinubu selling the South to Buhari again grin grin grin grin

Hahahahahahahaha you're not fair but anyhow that old fool goes back to cattle rearing and management is good. He is trained to kill not to manage humans. The gestation period for cattle and our mothers deferred.

Even the Yoruba vote did not matter in the last election. Remove the vote PMB got from SW and add it to GEJ's vote PMP will still win.

I don't see Buhari winning the election in 2019. He definitely won't get the SE and SS votes. Those on ground in the SW will tell you that there is growing widespread disillusionment with Buhari in the region akin to how Jonathan lost their good will. He better retrace his steps as he doesn't have anyone with the clout of Tinubu that can sell him in the SW. He was a bad product that was transformed by the media into a sellable candidate. A media controlled by the SW.

His abysmal handling of the fulani herdsmen recurring saga has cost him goodwill in the NC which will cost
him votes there in 2019.

So the question is how does he hope to win in 2019 without the SW or Tinubu? If history is anything to go by, the SW will betray Buhari in 2019. I expect Tinubu to foresee this going by the political pulse on the ground.

Excellent analysis.

Unfortunately, Buhari naively believes that people like OBJ dancing around him can deliver SW. OBJ has negative (not zero) electoral value. He as lost polling units in front of his house in many elections. Even if you conduct election in his parlour, he will lose because his children and wives will vote against him.

Only small problem is INEC and electoral courts. Buhari can use both to "manage" elections in SW and NC. They did a trial run in Edo governorship election, and INEC National Commissioner Amina Zakari, El-Rufai's protégé deliberately planted made sure the result went the "right" way. She was in Edo state throughout to oversee the heist. The INEC Chairman Prof Mamood Yakubu is off course naturally a Northerner. He will ensure the "right things" are done to give Buhari a 2nd term.

All key security outfits, paramilitary outfits, investigative outfits and key ministries that oversea security outfits are firmly in Northerner's hands. When required, they will rope in, drag down and comprehensively deal with anyone who stands in their way.

Then you are saying the votes of the SE too will be split. Tinubu will be wise enough to choose a candidate you will find difficult to resist. You think he is a fool? You better think again. He had been playing this game of politicking for a couple of days now.

Lol... You people will never learn..

You did that in 2015 and you were dumbed and you wanna repeat that mistake again?

Infact you people no get sense thus a menstrual pad... Iranu

That's the risk with choosing a Northerner but let's face the truth we need 50% of the vote up North to win the presidential election; sad but true!

What part is useless? The fact that sw vote is always divided and therefore doesn't do politicians much good?
