Is Jesus God? by Abdulgaffar22: 2:08am On Oct 07, 2016
Christians believe that Jesus is God in human form according to the doctrine of holy Trinity: yet when Jesus was praying to the Father, he said “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, THE ONLY TRUE GOD, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent (John 17:3). Therefore, if the Father is the only true God according to Jesus Christ, then how could Jesus be God or part of Triune God? In fact, the word "ONLY" used by Jesus in this very verse has put an end to any further argument on this issue of Jesus divinity. Similarly in John 20:17, Jesus was reported to have said “I am ascending to my Father and your Father, and to MY GOD and your God”. If Jesus is God according to the Christians, then can God have another God? Also Luke 6:12 recorded that Jesus went out to the mountain side to pray, and continued all night in PRAYER TO GOD. If Jesus is God, who was he praying to? Was he praying to himself or was God praying to God? Similarly, in John 14:28, Jesus said: “ My Father is GREATER THAN I”. If Jesus is God, why is he having someone greater than him? Can anybody be greater than God? Furthermore, in John 14:1, Jesus said “let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in me”. See how Jesus clearly distinguished himself from God using the word ‘ALSO’. Again in Mark 10:18, Jesus said to one man who called him good teacher as follows: “why do you call me good? NO ONE IS GOOD BUT ONE, THAT IS GOD”. If Jesus is God, why did he reject and submit that all goodness belongs to God? Finally in Matthew 24:36, Jesus said; “But of that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the son, but ONLY THE FATHER”. If Jesus is God, why did he confess his ignorance about the Day of Judgment and then submit that the knowledge of that day belongs only to God? If Jesus is God, can God be ignorant of anything? But sadly enough, no matter how strong the Biblical evidence you may put forward for the Christians to disprove the deity of Jesus Christ and hence the doctrine of Trinity, they always end up the arguments by saying; “you don’t have the holy spirit”. But, according to what Christians believe, was it not the same holy spirit that inspired the authors of the Bible to write all the verses cited above?

You missed a quote on that same chapter dear scholar:

Joh 17:1 Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: "Father, the hour has come. Glorify YOUR SON, that YOUR SON also may GLORIFY YOU, "as You have given Him AUTHORITY OVER ALL FLESH, that He should GIVE ETERNAL LIFE to as many as You have given Him.

Joh 17:5 "And now, O Father, GLORIFY ME TOGETHER WITH YOURSELF, WITH THE GLORY WHICH I HAD BEFORE THE WORLD WAS.

Before Adam, Before Abraham, Before Isaac, Before Jacob.

Why don't you ask the Holy Spirit(Not Mohammed) the questions you have, if you seek rightly you will find.

What? Both the Injil (though corrupted) and the Qur'an are from Allah so what do you want?

When you say the Injil is corrupted where do you find your standard to make that conclusion? The Quran?

What makes the Quran incorruptible? That it was not written by Mohammed or that it did not fall from the heavens?

Quran is corrupt.

If Allah gave both like you claim:
1. How come one was corrupted and the other was not?

2. What proof do you have that the one was corrupted?

3. On what grounds or against what measure do you base this claim of corruption?

4. Why then did Allah refer you people to the Book if Allah knew it was or will be corrupted?

5. The Gospel is a fulfilment of God's promise to Abraham, that his Seed will be a blessing to the World (not Israel alone), lest you say this referred to Isaac, God reiterate the same promise to Isaac, what then?

6. Why would Allah allow one to be corrupted? Is word preservation a recently acquired ability?

7. Finally, since the Injil is also called the Goodnews, what makes it Good news?

Pot calling the kettle black. Yes Jesus is not god. Neither is Mohammed or the Koran divinely inspired!

His companions but under his strict supervision. I think the word "record" would be better to use

I have evidence for that. If you don't know whether or not your prophet penned down the Quran or was available to give guidance on the writings, then how can you boldly claim that your Quran is not corrupt and the Injil is? This is where being reasonable should apply...dont you think?

The Qur'an was never changed after the death of the prophet because Allah Himself promised to protect it and that has been accepted by both Muslims and non-muslims. Several attempts were made to change some things in the Qur'an but all of them were futile. I don't know what else to tell you cos I was not alive 1400 years ago. The bible on the other hand has a lot of contradictions and different versions

Allah Himself promised? Has Allah revealed this to you or you just choose to go with the flow on what you are told?

Mohammed wasn't alive to see the Quran written, neither was his best reciter of the words.

So my friend, the Quran is corrupt because history shows that the one who spoke(Mohammed) was not available to help make certain on the accuracy of it and these document's have been burnt at least twice to make corrections.

So we have, corrupt Torah, corrupt Bible, corrupt Injil and corrupt Quran.

Another thing is, who told Mohammed to say that the Trinity of the Christians means Father, Son and Mary?

If it was Allah, then certainly Allah will know that Christian triunity isn't Father, Son and Mary.

If it was Angel Gabriel, then Allah will correct Gabriel.

If it was Mohammed, then probably he did not listen to the Christian doctrine to know that they call it the Holy Spirit and not Mary.

Again, Why will there be no singular creation doctrine in the Quran?
Is it that the written documents in Genesis of the Torah/Bible is accepted and authentic so there was no need for Gabriel to tell it to Mohammed?
Is man from dust, from semen, or from drop of blood?

And who says the sex of a child can be determined by the color of a females body fluid?

Surah 6:115: “The word of your Lord is complete, in truth and justice. NOTHING SHALL ABROGATE His words. He is the
Hearer, the Omniscient.”

And then later, allah change his word, he abrogate it:

Surah 2:106: “None of Our revelations do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, but We
SUBSTITUTE SOMETHING BETTER OR SIMILAR:
Knowest thou not that God Hath power over
all things?” (Yusuf Ali)

Now, Answer the following question, if properly answer, you will discover lies is being told some where.

1. How can a Muslim know what is abrogated
and what is not?
2. Since the abrogated verses still exist in the
Qur’an, what is the use of these abrogated
verses for Muslims now?
3. Would not this pose a problem for the
ordinary readers of the Qur’an to verify
what is abrogated and what is not?
4. How would an average Muslim know what
is abrogated and what is not, when even
scholar disagree among themselves as to
the numbers of verses that are abrogated?
5. Would not this then mean that the Qur’an
requires someone of a higher scholastic
level to understand it and therefore it is not
meant for the average Muslim?
6. What if a Muslim followed a command in
the Qur’an that was actually abrogated and
did not realized it ,would it be counted as
sin?
7. Why should the Qur’an abrogate parts of
itself?
8.If the Qur’an is the Word of God, should
it not be perfect from the start? How can one
perfect verse be better than another perfect
verse? So, how can Allah claim to substitute his
perfect verse with something better? How can
a divinely perfect revelation be improved upon?
