Goodluck Jonathan Was Not Greedy For Power – Buhari by Mfondear(m): 3:23pm On Oct 07, 2016
President Muhammadu Buhari said yesterday that Nigeria thwarted the doomsday prophecy over 2015 presidential poll when he and his main rival, Goodluck Jonathan, were more interested in the well-being of Nigeria than to win the election.

He also gave kudos to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC) political parties and foreign pressure groups for his or her efforts in aiding to strengthen Nigeria's democracy through the process.

Buhari spoke at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja where he was honored with the ‘Leadership Person of the Year'award alongside Jonathan and former INEC Chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega ,throughout a ceremony organised by the Leadership Group.
“Those people who were participating actors in the elections were led by the bigger ideal for the future of our great country and the well-being of our people as opposed to the mere desire of politicians to win elections.

“ It's, therefore, our commitment to the ideal, the patriotic zeal of former President Jonathan, the impartiality of the electoral umpire, INEC and exemplary conduct of the political parties, foreign pressure and other actors that individuals collectively disappointed the prophets of doom who'd predicted the disintegration of the united states following the 2015 General Elections.

“ Our democracy has been strengthened by the end result of the elections as our people are in possession of more faith in the electoral system in the sense that their votes would count whenever choosing political leaders at various levels.
“We, the political class should build on the experience of the 2015 elections to nurture our democracy”, said Buhari at the ceremony by which Jonathan was represented by former Minister of Special Duties, Tanimu Turaki.

The President enjoined the Nigerian media to donate to his administration's agenda to defeat terrorism and violent extremism in the country, fight corruption, diversify the economy to create jobs for the teeming population and generally improve the typical of living of Nigerians.

“On our part, our doors are wide open to media inquiries in line with the transparency and anti-corruption stance of our administration”, he added

Boo-boo if you had lost the election, would you have been more interested in the wellbeing of Nigeria?

All these your funny sauce sef.

Even Jona knew he wasn't cut out for the position of leadership at any level. Not even the head of Department of the Uniport where he lectured.

I guess he'd had enough of having to boost his self confidence with ogogoro before making a speech.

Good riddance I'd say.

Oh here comes one of Jonathan's hero worshippers.

Sorry to burst your bubble dear, but;

First, your hero was an epic failure. I could quote him here and post links that showed he himself thought so but I'll leave you to do the research.

Second you could easily have not posted if you thought your words were harsh instead of posting and then feigning regrets.

I've never been afraid to call it as it is so your insults didn't get to me actually.
