Wike Threatened, As He Resists Police, DSS Attempt To Arrest Judge by Joshchi(m): 5:37am On Oct 08, 2016
Governor Nyesom Wike in the early hours of (Saturday) today mobilised to stop alleged attempt by men of the Department of State Security, DSS and the Police to abduct a Judge at his number 35/84 B residence, Forces Avenue, Port Harcourt.

The governor who fielded questions from newsmen in front of the Judge’s residence said he was manhandled by men of the DSS and the Police who came to whisk the judge away.
“What has happened this night it is unfortunate. Even in military government it has never happened like this , you listen to people. Thst is why we are here. I said not under my watch will I allow this type of activity take place.

“The DSS, Police they cocked their guns and said they will shoot me. And I told them I have never heard this type of thing happen before. Again this is to show that more of this will come.

Wondering why the security men will choose 1 am to storm the residence of the judge the governor said their action portend danger for the nation’s democracy.

He said all he expected the security men to have done was to invite the judge, adding that if he had ignored the invitation then other legal steps should have been taken.

Continuing, he said he did not bother to know the name of the judge but he only had to come out to stop the attempted abduction of the judge because as Chief Security of the state he would not allow such lawlessness take place in his state.

Why will you raid a judge's house in the middle of the night? Police should be civil in their approach

This is commendable. The corrupt judges homes have to been invaded and they must be locked up so as to serve as lessons to other judges not to undermine the powers of the executive. Too many corrupt judges hiding under the wig. They are hell bent on frustrating buhari's anti-corruption fight. The judges have never ruled in favor of buhari ever since be began several trials. Do you expect him to fold his hands and watch? How can a sane judge grant bail to the likes of Dasuki, Nnamdi kanu and El-zakzaky? Are the trio not a threat to national security? Buhari has to enforce his powers and forget democracy so he can clean up the rot in the system. Wike should not dare an order from above. Buhari obviously sent them and That is why he is the commander in chief of armed forces. He can get whatever he wants

See how FG has ridiculed our constitutional democracy. Can we see how the FG is stylishly using the DSS to carry out unlawful, barbaric and illegal arrest and victimization.

When you speak ill of Buhari as a blogger, DSS will come looking for you. Are we not in a democratic system anymore?

You have demonstrated once again that you are a brave man.Let Amaechi be hiding in Abuja and prodding the vengeful Aso Rock tyrant to be going to harrass Riverians, whether judges ,lawmakers or other politicians,THEY WILL NEVER SUCCEED IN TAKING RIVERS STATE.
RIVERS STATE IS PDP AND PDP IS RIVERS STATE.

Wike is over reaching if indeed he did do this,
is he the Judge's father? He and the judge must have been in cahoots for him to have raced there so fast!!

How did he get there so fast especially in the middle of the night, if he had nothing sinister in the pot cooking with this Judge.

Corrupt Judges are the No 1 problem of this country and we pray they are all weeded out!! cool

P.S... no one should come back with the CSO of a state BS, ask yourself this question before dancing alanta on my mention: How many citizens of Rivers state has he "protected" this way?

All the beheading and senseless murders going on in the once peaceful garden city, in what way has he been proactive in eradicating such?

The one and only, El-Clueless President and useless old ineffectual 'baboon' will destroy this country completely.

To the Zone-Bs supporting abduction instead of following due process as stipulated in our laws, may your redemption not be delayed.

He is a beneficiary of a biased and corrupt judiciary hence the reasons he would do anything to protect his fraudulent mandate. I trust buhari to deploy more troops to rivers if wike acts anyhow

Does it mean that DSS can go on kidnapping whoever they choose without invitation just like the Military declared three people wanted without prior invitation which they later withdrew.

If nothing is done to resist this impeding clampdown and brainless idea of arresting without following DUE PROCESS we may no longer have democracy in Nigeria.

Unfortunately, some brainwashed elements are supporting this show of shame.

I pity una end.

Do the police and dss have arrest warrant? Yes, so why is wike preventing from arresting the judge is he doesn't have something at stake. For him to come out around 1am shows how important judge might be to him.

Police can arrest you anytime so wike should go see down or he will be charge with obstruction of justice. For judge resisting arrest is a crime on its own.

The judge that gave Peter Odili lifetime injunction against being investigated let alone being prosecuted for his myriads of corrupt practices should be hunted down, drawn quartered and his head left on a stake for black crows to feed on..

How can we ever hope for a better nation when there are stumbling blocks that just won't let the process go unhindered!!

I'm still going to reiterate this; Lee Kwan yew of Singapore didn't transform his 3rd world country into a powerhouse by being a Mr nice guy and being on the straight and narrow all the time!! He did what he had to do to get results!!

Benevolent dictatorship is the only way to go, people don't want to do right, they need to be "nudged" and "encouraged" to do right!! cool
