I am sure you didn't buy it new at that price,the best HDD out there is Western Digital, and I got 500gb for 12k, 2 yrs old and still kicking,never dissapoints.

Then 1/2/3 or 4 Tb were uncommon then,but now they are everywhere, if 500gb goes for 15k,how much will 2Tb cost.And yes its cheaper now
