There are rumours that players of the Spanish Women's National Team will release a statement and that it will include this.

Two people may shared a kiss but how you go do that on the grand stage?

I don't support harassment but inasmuch but if both party are cool with it, no wahala.

The only problem is that if it happened in a formal setting which to me is wrong.

I really don't want to think these guys at the helm are finding ways to put their 'partners' in the squad.

Even though I don't expect the NFF to renew Randy's contract, this story is false. Believe OwngoalNigeria at your own peril. I opened the link and no where did they reference what Gasau said with respect to Randy. They had quotes for pretty much every other thing except the headline of the story.

Lol 😂
Anyway I would like someone like her in our Central Midfield role, someone who combines ball winning, passing and creativity all together… Again she’s pretty there with a lot of Physicality and good aerial presence.

Again let’s see more of what she would bring to the Midfield at Valencia first

That midfield will become the most contested in SF going forward. Talent too dey ground. Lol
I join you to wait.

Paris Saint-Germain's women's team and MHSC played out a goalless draw at the Stade Philippe Mahut in Fontainebleau in the third warm-up match of the 2023-2024 season.

The third warm-up match for Paris Saint-Germain's women's team pitted the Rouge et Bleu against Montpellier Hérault Sporting Club at the Stade Philippe Mahut in Fontainebleau. Boosted by the return of a number of international players at the start of the week, Paris faced a Montpellier side also in the midst of its preparations. MHSC, the historic Arkema D1 side, are coming off a fine season, finishing 5th in the league last year.

Gérard Prêcheur once again fielded a 3-5-2 formation with Katarzyna Kiedrzynek in goal. In defence was Jade Le Guilly, accompanied by Thiniba Samoura and new recruit Aïssatou Tounkara. Nicole Payne and Tara Elimbi occupied the flanks, while Korbin Albert, Ana Vitoria and Laurina Fazer played in midfield. Finally, the attack was made up of Sandy Baltimore, once again captain, and Amalie Vangsgaard, back at the start of the week.

Exactly what I anticipated will happen. Borja Iglesias and Iker Casillas speaking up is just the beginning. Many more will likely speak up and board members will be pressured to change position. He was dumb not to resign.

If this confirms anything, it’s that this scandal is a cultural thing in their federation. It’s rooted deep into the administration and their higher ups are all in on it.

When the incident happened earlier with Vilda, the coach, he and his cohorts in the federation claimed it was manhunt. Same thing the president too is now claiming but it’s just evidence that the players were right. And it’s a big big problem for Spanish football.

If the president is sexually harassing players or staff publicly, why would the coach be embarrassed or afraid of losing his job when he does the same thing in camera? Thankfully, the whole world saw how this one happened and it’s not the players’ word against the federation like before so they can’t be gagged or ostracized.

The full statement by Jenni Hermoso.

After obtaining one of the most desired achievements of my sporting career and after a few days of reflection, I want to thank, with all my heart, my teammates, fans, followers, media and everyone who has made this dream a reality; your work and unconditional support has been a fundamental part to be able to win the World Cup.

In reference to what has happened today [Rubiales’ speech] and while I don’t want to interfere with the multiple ongoing legal procedures, I feel obligated to say that the words of Mr Luis Rubiales explaining the unfortunate event are categorically false and part of the manipulative culture he has created.

I want to make clear that not in any moment did the conversation occur that Mr Luis Rubiales references, and much less that his kiss was consensual. In the same way I want to reiterate how I did in that moment that what happened was not enjoyable.

The situation left me in shock because of the context of the celebration, and with the time passed, and those initial feelings being able to sink, I feel the need to denounce this as I feel that no one, in no work space, sporting or social, should be a victim to this time of unconsensual behaviour. I felt vulnerable and a victim of aggression, an impulsive act, sexist, out of place and without any type of consent from my part. In short, I wasn’t respected.

I was asked to released a joint statement to relieve the pressure off the president, but in those moments, in my head I only had being able to celebrate the historic achievement I accomplished with my teammates. That’s why, in that moment I communicated with the RFEF … and the same with media and people I trust, that I would not be releasing an individual statement nor a joint statement about the matter, as I understood that, by doing it, I would take away the spotlight from a very special moment for my teammates and I.

Despite my decision I have to state that I have been under constant pressure to come out with some sort of statement that would justify the acts of Mr Luis Rubiales. Not only that, but also, via different ways and different people, the RFEF has pressured my close circle (family, friends, teammates, etc) so I would give a statement that had little or nothing to do with how I felt.

It’s not my place to evaluate communication practices or integrity, but I am sure that as world champions we do not deserve a culture so manipulative, hostile and controlling. These types of incidents are added to a long list of situations that us, the players, have been [enduring] for the last few years, for what has been done, for what I have experienced, this is only a drop in a full glass and only what the whole world has been able to see. Acts like these have been part of daily life in our national team for years.

Overall, I want to restate my position that I have taken from the start, considering that I don’t have to support the person that has committed this action against my will, who didn’t respect me, in a historic moment for me and for women’s sport of this country.

In no situation, can it be my responsibility to assume the consequences to have to transmit something that I don’t believe, and for that reason I have ignored the pressure [I was put under].

I want to close by making it very clear that while it is me expressing this, these words are that of all the players in Spain and the world that have given me strength to come out with this statement. After the lack of respect and the incapacity to recognise errors and accept the consequences, I have made the decisions to not return to the national team while the current leaders are in position.

Thank you to everyone for the messages of support and words of encouragement I have received. I know that I am not alone and thanks to everyone we will continue forward together. I leave the trusted people from TMJ and Futpro [players’ union] with this topic and they will continue working in the next steps after the recent advancements.

Omo.... Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

The kiss was a bait... unfortunately or let's say fortunately, the man fell for it.

It is clear the Spanish players are not happy with the federation especially with the recent occurrence that happened before the world cup which made some of their players to miss the tourney.

The man has delivered himself into their hands...he should just resign.

Of course the issues between the Spanish federation and the women's national team is no hidden issue. 15 members of the team excused themselves from the team to make. Point (with only 3 recalled), so of course there were issues. I however think that use or the word "bait" will be inappropriate. Except otherwise proven, what the Spanish FA boss did is assault. He did it in the open view of the entire world so it's not like he was "seduced".

Funny thing is, Jenni wasn't even the one who initiated all this outcry, it was a press person who witnessed this and felt it was odd that asked her during their post match . We have too many women in this kind of situation all over the world, so we shouldn't give me who do this an out under the guise of them being baited. (I know that isn't your intention though).

I'm the one who used the word, 'bait' because I feel she could have resisted or at least struggled when he attempted to kiss her. Not that I'm justifying his action but you should be able to understand.

No na. How exactly should she have resisted? Go see the video again. They were all in celebratory mood while receiving their medals. Hugs were shared and out of the blue he kissed her. She couldn't have anticipated it and they was nothing to resist cause the kiss lasted only a few seconds. She only would have realised what happened after it did.

Mind you, I'm not questioning your motive, I only drew our attention to the language we use in expressing events like this. Without knowing we subtly put some blame on the victims (again I don't believe that's your intention).
