“I have always been conscious of sustainability and sensitivity in design. For me, making products that are both functional and beautiful includes them being sustainable, too. I wanted to create a brand that was both ethical and beautiful, by creating shoes people would treasure.”

Henrietta Rose Samuels, custom makes bespoke women’s shoes from recycled and reworked vintage materials, under the name Hetty Rose. Primarily working with “relics of a disappearing world, saturated in significance and hidden meaning” The collection is epitomizes the revaluing and re-contextualizing of otherwise wasted materials. The designer hand selects exquisite antique materials to use for her shoe uppers to create unique handmade footwear. Her simple provocative designs are flattering and full of character.
The inspiration
Hetty Rose has always been conscious of sustainability, so old things lying waste always inspire her. She enjoys re-using and re-working vintage materials in a creative and sustainable way, hand-making gorgeous, feminine shoes to fit.......
