Which finger wedding rings are worn on is not a Christian thing nor a Western thing, as different countries - and by the same token different cultures - have a variety of ring-wearing traditions.

i really don't know about the catholic and evangelicals thing, but i have heard and read that in some parts of Europe, the wedding ring is worn on the 4th finger of right hand. I guess it's tradition. Just get married and enjoy your life and forget about where the ring is supposed to be.

since when do we leave valuable life decisions to ladies? last time we gave them a simple instruction as "don't speak to no snake" what did they do? messed things up! if i wait for ladies to agree with me on life decisions, i will be in major trouble. they will cry that their voice must be heard in a matter (fair enough) but when wahala burst they are the ones that will blame u for listening to them and finish their statement with, "u didn't have to listen to me, i am just a woman but u are the man and ought to have taken charge". so for me, i take charge from the get go!

as for the tradition, i wasn't talking about christianity. half of the so called christian rituals are not in the bible, ppl just slammed in their own ideas and called it christianity, e.g christmas

The so called Chinese explanation makes sense, so does the veno amoris, vein from finger to heart and also the joblessness makes sense too, Imagine the middle finger with a ring on it getting jiggy down below , that could cause a lot of damage!!!! But then a ring is a symbol of union between a man a woman it wouldnt matter where its worn as long as others can see it, sorry ladies can't put on your navel. LOL
