It is said "A people deserve the leaders they get". Nigeria since the early 60s have had very bad leadership and government

1. How true is the above quote with respect to Nigeria?

2. Since 1999, in came democracy. Is leadership in Nigeria any better? (YES or No)

3. If No,Who is to blame? The Leaders or the Followers that the leaders emerge from.

4. what can we do to improve if need be?

NB
There can be no leader with follower who accept the leader.

Our leaders are just a fair and perfect slice of who we are as a people.

It has become fashionable for some people to be hypercritical and blame the masses for the actions of the kleptocrats in power.  This blame would be justified if we were allowed to vote or the elections were not rigged.

The absence of military uniform doesn't mean democracy. Next time people want to castigate the masses, they should remember these four words - Free and Fair Elections.

Wow! you make it appear that these "Leaders" are a special breed of aliens that just happen to always be administrators (or Leaders). As one of the earlier posts tried to explain before the Thread-Owner shut him out, there is a clear and significant interphase between leadership at several aspects which is quite obvious at the Political sphere. When a bad father decides to go into politics what would you expect? Or when a corrupt Principal suddenly wins a councilorship seat what would you expect?

@Poster, unfortunately, what we get is what WE ALLOW. So, we DO get what we DESERVE.

No jor. We don't deserve it because most of us are still ignorant. I don't think the entire Nigerian populace is aware of the resume of these leaders.

Note, rigged elections are executed by individuals who are follower. One man cant rig an election or organise a military coupe by himself alone. The idea and execution of rigging/ coupe would have been supported by the follower who are citizen either active or passive. i.e ACTIVE: fully participating in the act PASSIVE: been complacent "its not my concern".
