well brother there is nothing wrong with giving to the need.
Paying tithe sure does comes with its blessings like it's written in malachi, beautiful things said there, who no go like those blessings pronounced. Yet still helping out is still ok. Well God doesn't force us to keep commandment, He allows us make choices for ourselves but omo He sure does know how help us see the sweet part of keeping those commandments

my brother there is no way God will be angry with in as much you are giving with all your heart.like me I have never paid tithe before but I will rather give my money to the needy,motherless homes and contribute to church building.

Tithing was instituted by God during the days of the israelites as part of the law given to them.
Christians today are no more under the law, this leads us to the question:
Are christians today under the obligation to pay tithes ?
for us to answer the above question, some things are to be carefully considered, such as:
Why did God command tithing for the israelites ?
Were the tithing laws binding on Israel excessive ?
What happened regarding tithing in the first century C.E ?
What did Jesus say regarding tithing while he was on earth ?

What belong to God is fixed.10% of your income and financial increase which is clearly stated in the bible.
Giving to poor is also adviced in the bible in addition to paying tithe.
Giving to men of God, Parents and Church advancement endeavours is also recommended in the bible and do not substitute tithing.
So dont be confuse.

if the bible called us a chosen generation .. a royal priesthood .. and king Jesus is our high priest ... that means I am a priest , u r priest , our pastors are priest as well , then who am I paying my tithe to ... or shud I expect tithe from my pastors too since am also a priest? .. Jesus told he disciples ones that he came to them poor and needed telling them that when they give to the poor they have given to him ... and Jesus is the high priest we shud pay our tithe to .. I agree with giving to leaders of the congregation .. and to the advancement of the church ..but please dont name it tithe .. tithe is a scam .. God loves a cheerful giver . he won't accept you give to him with grumbling or on a mandate .

My dear, God requires your 10% to be given in the church. From all circumstances in Bible, the tenth of blessings was given to the priests only/in the temple of God. If a church is so rich and you perceive that its not channelling the wealth to save souls and spread gospel of salvation, what you can do is look for a good righteous church you perceive God's presence and offer there.
