Chicago is bitterly cold in December. Its a very beautiful city but the weather can be very rough in December. Will be out of Chicago in December to spend Xmas with my parents in Nigeria.

I would be spending Xmas in Nigeria with my parents. Coming with my wife and the whole crew and we will return to Chicago in mid Jan hopefully .

At this late stage of travel and pregnancy you don't have accommodation and everything else finalised?... are you even prepared for the cold?...bitter cold? ...that would force you to remain in doors? View the thread in this section I'm taking a Train Ride from Chicago to New York .... it would be very informative for you.

Do you have to give birth in Chicago? Justwise is right you need to be very careful! If boredom is the price then pay it! You will even need all the time to prepare for your LO and enjoy the sanity before your life changes.

Just be careful!

Infact, I will be leaving for Nigeria with my family to celebrate Xmas with my parents in Lagos. I thought I told you that before. It's a ritual for me to spend Xmas with my folks in Nigeria.

Pls be careful. Not everyone in the State are normal. Think about yourself andthe unborn baby and moreover you don't have a concrete plan. Let me advise you, lodge in an hotel or guest house (Motel 1 etc) close to your delivery date. Call Ambulance and make sure you land in emergency...... But sincerely this is at your own risk and not liable for this statement but my candid advise is to be careful or stay back home. Its cold in December and Chicago is a crazy place. I pray God help you. I live in MD and one other solution if to look for a RCCG Church. Go meet the pastor and explain yourself to them hopefully they'll help. Good luck

Chicago is the murder capital of USA.

Avoid Southside esp Inglewood at all costs.

Chicago is the windy city. It gets so cold ur eye sockets freeze. Crime rates increase in winter cos gangsters want to return to prison where there is free heat and food and reduces in summer when all they want to do is have fun and enjoy the warmth.

You will enjoy chicago in summer. Most def not winter

Why Chicago? Why not New York? If you dont know anyone there make concrete connection with Nigerians that might be there esp through a Nigeria church connection. This guy that lives there but traveling to Nigeria might help link you with nice families that might assist. Which you luck and safe delivery. If anything contact me.
