On Saturday 8th October, 2016 when Senator Gbenga Ashafa visited the Lagos State Model College, Igbonla Epe to commiserate with the staff and students of the school over the kidnapping of their colleagues, he promised to support the internal security network of the school with Security Tricycles.

On 15th October, 2016 the Senator,who represents lagos west senatorial district fulfilled his promise to the school, when his representatives led by Hon. Wasiu Odeyemi (WASTAB) and the Chairman of the Eredo Local Council Development Area, Alhaji Hassan presented the promised Security Tricycles to the school.

The Tricycles were received on behalf of the school by the principal of the Senior School, Mr. Osindero and the Vice Principal of the Junior School, Mrs. Medinat Adebanjo.

In his letter to the school, Senator Ashafa congratulated the staff and students of the school over the safe rescue of their colleagues after concerted efforts by the Lagos State Government and the Lagos State Police Command. He urged the staff and students of the school to remain security conscious.
