The wife of the president definitely overstepped not only as a woman but also as a housewife. No woman should speak of her husband and his government like that in public. And to demand that people stand up and fight for an all-APC government is ridiculous. That will doubtlessly return us to the era of impunity. If the President want to achieve anything, he must work with the set of people he is working with now. I mean people who are not TOTAL POLITICIANS. Politicians are all the same and we all know it. Those who struggled with him for 13years did so because they believed that there would be some gain when he gains power. Apparently, it isn't as they wished. The tradition of "I work for you, you pay me with power" has always been a major problem for democracy all over the world.
For anyone to hold a governmental position, they must deserve it and have the right attitude and intention to make it work.
If Buhari's ministers are underperforming, he should replace them but not with 'compensating politicians' as his wife demanded.
Nigeria is about Nigerians and not APC. Nigerians voted for change NOT APC. They were resolute and adamant to protect their votes even in the face of tyranny and dangers.
Mrs. Buhari must respect that and never try to impose herself or her friends on the country. Nigerians didn't ask for anyone in APC. Even Tinubu wouldn't have won if he contested on that platform despite his popularity. In fact, in our own southwest, he would have lost. Nigerians voted for Buhari NOT APC because we believed that the change we require will be brought only by him.
The President has every right to choose whosoever he trusts and believes in into his government. A dutiful wife must support her husband, pray for him and defend him on all fronts even if they disagree indoor. What she did wouldn't have been expected from a wife with such qualities.
Some will argue that she stood by him all the time but it wasn't all for no particular reason......
