Quoting United Nations " Nearly 1.2 million people die in road crashes each year.
An additional 50 million are injured or disabled.
Road crashes are the leading cause of death worldwide among young people ages 10-24
90% of all road fatalities occur in low and middle-income countries
Road crashes cost USD $518 billion globally, costing countries 1-3% of their annual GDP."

In Nigeria despite our inability to capture accurate records of all road crashes, it may not be out of place to assume that roughly about 100 lives are lost daily on Nigerian roads.

What can we do as a people to curtail this knowing that it can't be eradicated completely?
