A Canada-based Nigerian, Mr. Paulicap Okechukwu Okeke, has dragged Macmillan Nigeria Publishing, an arm of the international publishing company, to court for stealing his work of art and selling same to the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC). Chatting with naijamagazineonline, Mr. Okeke, a graduate of Theatre Arts, University of Ibadan, detailed how, in 2012, he submitted a copy of his book, Biribamba the Lonely Elephant, at the Lagos office of Macmillan for publication. However, he was neither contacted nor relevant documents signed or royalties agreed before the publishers went to press and published the title.
