Hello folks, I am scheduled for AC on Saturday, 8th July. Please, I need some clarification on the following:
i) What does the logical reasoning section look like?
ii) Are we going to be given paper on which we'll respond to the essay?
iii) Is it only the Individual task we are going to present on Powerpoint?

Truth is the reason y we all jump into NL once we have a job Ish or any other one at that is because we know there will be detailed information recorded or given by some selfless hearts.
I felt somehow a little last year when I was to give info on how my test went, cos I was amongst the first batch to write the test. But I looked and said to myself, hoarding info won't change a thing and if others were selfish or self centered, they won't have shared the GMAT question we used to study. I happily shared the questions and today am here.
I can honestly say that this info have given me a glimpse of what to expect but the truth is the more info I get,the more I get scared. Although it's a competition, but I believe we r a family, and our prayers and thanks will always open doors for the slefless of hearts.

I understand successful Applicants will have to Submit these Credentials for Documentation,

2.SSCE cert with date of birth on it.
3.Bsc cert/notification of result wit registra signature on it
4.NYSC cert.

Also 1) NYSC discharge/exemption.
2) Government marriage certificate for married ladies.
3) Sworn declaration of name for those that have changed their names

My Question is Will NECO Certificate Still be accepted Since There is No Date of Birth On it...
(Btw, I have a Waec Cert. Just that there is error on the DOB on it, and i didn't make all compulsory subjects)

From what I know about bank recruitment and being in the system I can tell you that banks DON'T PLAY WITH WAEC!

Even if you have 9 F9's in WAEC they wanna see, even if its NECO result you used to gain admission in school they still wanna see your WAEC result, and I'm not talking about external WAEC, WASSCE and SSCE is what banks honour, i.e June/July regular SS3 WAEC/NECO.

And do you know why banks don't play with WAEC result? Because that's the only tool they use to check mate those you play pranks with their date of birth, and that's what banks use to know a candidates real age. NECO doesn't have it date of birth. They care about WAEC because, by the time most of us were registering for WAEC/NECO in SS3 we never had motives of faking our real ages like we do later in life, so that's why banks don't mess around with WAEC just to verify your age, birth certificates and declaration of age are just mere documents which they collect, its that WAEC that's their focal point.


Sometimes candidates wanna be smart and come up with the usual story of "WAEC made a mistake on my date of birth on my WAEC certificate", you would need to provide evidence like a letter which you sent to WAEC where you stated this and applied for correction and this has to be long ago and not during the process of that particular job application, they would check the date for your application to WAEC for change. And even when you provide such evidence, your chances of getting the job is very slim, that's when you would see people who were not called for documentation earlier would be called just to replace people who have WAEC date of birth issues, you'd have to be the very 5% top of the best of the best candidates to be considered for recruitment with evidence of your earlier complaint to WAEC for date of birth correction, I'm speaking from direct experience concerning this and I know a whole lot about it.

But that doesn't stop him from passing his courses and possibly topping the class. Likewise you should only worry about others sharing info/tips only if you aren't confident of yourself, FBN recruitment will end, the people that will get the job will get it and those that don't get it won't die.
And it's also interesting to note that there's still Training school 75% and some still fail at that stage.
You can talk all you want but remember that everyone doesn't have to be like you. No one is compelling anybody to share the tips, don't share if you don't want to but don't force your "narrow minded" ideologies on others. It's not a do or die affair. Live and let's live. wink

I wrote my first WASSCE and I didn't make physics and maths but the DOB is very correct. When I resat, they made a mistake in my DOB. If I use the first one that has less than 5 credits but correct DOB, are u sure I will b considered?

I think it's one of the most important stages.

Wont say you are not on track, all you just need do is know key segments of the economy and what are the problems facing it, for example now, your question may be on d sport industry and how d bank can support it, your group discussion is linked to your essay as well as your PowerPoint presentation, so do yourself a favour to jot down...Dont be the ITK type always talking and trying to take the shine off others cos @d end it won't matter. The assessors won't talk to you but the 3 of them are taking records of the way you behave. So don't be quiet but don't be overtly loud, smartness is the key.... Be smart, when you are smart, you will always see some avenues to display your leadership qualities, like they say, a word is enough for the wise. ALL THE BEST

Well, I just can't help but laugh out loud at some comments here. I'm talking about the little debate over sharing of information and all.

First of all, ever since this AC started, all the information shared here are just generic information and not detailed information, yes, those who shared just scratched the surface and I'm not surprised though, the average Nigerian doesn't wanna admit that deep inside he/she doesn't want you to be better than him/her at anything in life, even in a recruitment process. Look here, I'm not compelling anyone to share detailed information please, because I'm sure some people are already tired of unemployment and can't afford to give details to another fellow competitor.

But what makes me laugh is how you guys come out and give out "surface scratched" information and be feeling all benevolent like some Santa Claus or Father Christmas (as colloquially called here in Nigeria) who has helped others when in your minds you all know you tried your best not to be too "helpful" in disclosing too much details that would help the next candidate. No need for all the sly moves please. Its not like the information shared here of the AC is any different from the ones of the last recruitment thread, you guys just gave the same details posted there years ago in your own words with the intent of not wanting to be too detailed.

To all of your forming Mr/Ms benevolent and attacking the lady who was asking people to stop sharing information you guys should take a chill pill, the information you guys shared are pretty inconsequential to anyone who knows his/her onions on how to pass in an assessment centre process. You guys are forming good guys when most of the stuff you all posted are shallow and generic information. And to the lady telling people to stop sharing more information, sister do you need the job that bad? grin Well, that's your freaking business!

Well, as for me, I got good news for anyone who is not competently assured of passing AC and who would be conducting their AC after mine, because after my AC, I would give details that would not only be expositorily detailed but would having glaring "expos" (as Nigerians call it) grin

You heard me right, yeah baby! ... I'm gonna run my mouth like a parrot bribed with chocolate grin Yes, I would go all loquacious because I want to challenge Nigerian recruiters to be more intelligent and well-rounded in core talent profiling, we basically have talent interviewers in Nigeria and don't have talent prolifers, we need to upgrade! Have you ever taken a well constructed IQ test set by professionals before now? Try that of International high IQ Society and see yourself, you can google them and go through their website. Even if your friend gives you full details of the questions he came across in a well constructed IQ test, it would never help you score higher than your actual IQ rating, that's how recruitment assessment should be as well, that's the level we should be at.

I'd be conducting my AC at the tail end of the AC process so you guys that are the very last batch or last week batches of AC should prepare to use my name as testimony in your churches to tell how God used one "Scented" from Nairaland to give you an easy hand in passing your AC grin

I'm tried of typing, I need to rest my pretty eyes, lest my boss accuses me of going for clubbing tonight as a result of cloudy eyes in the morning, so I'm out of here!

Bros you think they are not doing that on purpose? Hahahahha, they would rarely give you in depth explanation, no be the same Nigerians way we know? I expect someone to come here and start scolding you that can't you think for yourself and that why do you want in depth explanation and much more. Na Nigeria be this, forget all this courtesy people are acting here, in their minds they want to get the job over you so you would be on a very long thing waiting for in depth explanation, we are generally selfish and its not a hidden thing, forget those that would come with excuses to make it sound like you are the wrong one here, all you would get is scolding that you want to be spoon fed.

I think the benchmark for most firms is that you have 5 credits not for more than two sittings, so you can present the two WAEC results but everything would depend on the age on the two results, if the first result has a more older DOB than the second result then I'd be normal to understand its really a mistake, you'd just need to also provide a formal evidence to show you have written to WAEC for the correction, but if in the second result your DOB is less older than the first result then it would be suspected you got another result just to reduce your age or used the situation of re-siting for the subjects you didn't pass to reduce your age from your original age in the first result.

ive been a silent reader in the thread but bro I need to tell you I shook my head in pity after reading your comment. It oozes of immaturity and pride. These are kind of coursemates I prayed not to have back then in Uni; cousemates that make the innocent suffer for oversabi of one guy. Bro if u want to cut your tongue or ur mouth after ur AC please do. Dont come here and start butresing the stale line of Nigerians are selfish or stuff like that. You guys should find better topic to deliberate on. Case already closed since yesterday. The fact remains that the usefulness of info you share here is not limited to FBN/HCP Assessment alone, it might go along way and change someone's life forever. Don't feel threatened by competitors, you will be distracted and lose direction.

Well, I just can't help but laugh out loud at some comments here. I'm talking about the little debate over sharing of information and all.

First of all, ever since this AC started, all the information shared here are just generic information and not detailed information, yes, those who shared just scratched the surface and I'm not surprised though, the average Nigerian doesn't wanna admit that deep inside he/she doesn't want you to be better than him/her at anything in life, even in a recruitment process. Look here, I'm not compelling anyone to share detailed information please, because I'm sure some people are already tired of unemployment and can't afford to give details to another fellow competitor.

But what makes me laugh is how you guys come out and give out "surface scratched" information and be feeling all benevolent like some Santa Claus or Father Christmas (as colloquially called here in Nigeria) who has helped others when in your minds you all know you tried your best not to be too "helpful" in disclosing too much details that would help the next candidate. No need for all the sly moves please. Its not like the information shared here of the AC is any different from the ones of the last recruitment thread, you guys just gave the same details posted there years ago in your own words with the intent of not wanting to be too detailed.

To all of your forming Mr/Ms benevolent and attacking the lady who was asking people to stop sharing information you guys should take a chill pill, the information you guys shared are pretty inconsequential to anyone who knows his/her onions on how to pass in an assessment centre process. You guys are forming good guys when most of the stuff you all posted are shallow and generic information. And to the lady telling people to stop sharing more information, sister do you need the job that bad? grin Well, that's your freaking business!

Well, as for me, I got good news for anyone who is not competently assured of passing AC and who would be conducting their AC after mine, because after my AC, I would give details that would not only be expositorily detailed but would having glaring "expos" (as Nigerians call it) grin

You heard me right, yeah baby! ... I'm gonna run my mouth like a parrot bribed with chocolate grin Yes, I would go all loquacious because I want to challenge Nigerian recruiters to be more intelligent and well-rounded in core talent profiling, we basically have talent interviewers in Nigeria and don't have talent prolifers, we need to upgrade! Have you ever taken a well constructed IQ test set by professionals before now? Try that of International high IQ Society and see yourself, you can google them and go through their website. Even if your friend gives you full details of the questions he came across in a well constructed IQ test, it would never help you score higher than your actual IQ rating, that's how recruitment assessment should be as well, that's the level we should be at.

I'd be conducting my AC at the tail end of the AC process so you guys that are the very last batch or last week batches of AC should prepare to use my name as testimony in your churches to tell how God used one "Scented" from Nairaland to give you an easy hand in passing your AC grin

I'm tried of typing, I need to rest my pretty eyes, lest my boss accuses me of going for clubbing tonight as a result of cloudy eyes in the morning, so I'm out of here!

I think you can give people a little more credit than this, ofcos its a competition and every body wants to be a winner.
It doesnt make any sense for someone to spill verbatim the entire questions(which isnt even possible), except the "core" which is d group issh because it transcends to other areas, of the AC.
And once that group discussion is shared it places the receivers of the info at a very unfairly advantaged positions over the rest.
Those pointers shared here would still help in a little way those that adhere to them.
And you probably have this opinion because you havent had yours yet, when you do Im sure you'd realise that most people have tried their best to be helpful without placing themselves at a disadvantage.

2013 thread remains the best FBN thread ever, this one is just full of hypocrites, anyways, what's my own, AC is just about how smart and adaptable you are to various situations not how much information you gathered before the AC. Imagine an interviewer asking you 5 questions at the same time and expect you to answer all, you are going for about 7 tests in about 4 hours with little or no time to think through anything cos time is going, even FBN isn't looking for only the best in all aspect but someone that will be above average in all aspect and note the FBN people don't like to much talk, so if you are going there to talk and talk and talk because you can talk, you are on your own. We should all stop these accusations and counter accusations and focus our energy on better things, no one is under obligation to talk and besides if you made it this far without any help, what makes you think you can't scale through the AC.

You are right bro. Haven't done mine yet. Most times the interviewers don't even look for what u think they are looking for. There are silent points, certain soft skills they look out for. It's more like a mix of everything contained in the assessment. U have to be well rounded not entirely lacking in a particular area.
