Is it advisable to buy a honda bulet that has gone 280,134km mileage with the sum of #500,000.00 ?

The engine is sound (mechanically tested)
A/C is chilled.
Interior is superb
Body is strong (good body work)

Please your candid advice is needed b4 I buy trouble for myself.

I may not be able to comment about the cost but one thing I know is that despite that high mileage, the car could still be sound and serviceable, particularly I f the engine has been changed recently with a belgium one. My opinion is based on my experience, any way.

Instead of buying a 9ja used bullet 4 500k,why not add little money to buy a belgium?

the truth is this, if the mileage was altered, you would think the car is a direct Belgium.
cos everything in it works perfectly.

if all what u checked like AC are working well,then go for it.

that mileage shows it hasnt been altered before and u dont expect a car of over 13years not to have such mileage. even the 2000s cars have over 150k mileage.

actually, the mileage is my only worry.
I checked the engine with a mechanic that rejected a car I wanted to buy earlier,
the engine is quiet and sound, very smooth with A/C on.

If he had given it to a dealer, the mileage could have been reduced and up the price goes,

what stuff of toks can one get with 500k, need to know cos i have similar dilemma

I feel your need for a trustworthy mechanic but i'm sorry, the guy is in Abuja, I stay in Abuja.

My own honda 2006 accord has 273,000km when i bought it 3 months ago. It has been working fine with AC in use most of the time. After a long distance trip of about 700Km yesterday, i noticed that there is drop in the oil guage. After some enquiries i was told it is due to weakness of the engine.

So my sugesstion is check the price of tokumbo engine and add it to N500,000 if it is whitin your budget then go for it.

@ Kenkruse, it all depends on the previous user(s). Some car owners are really finicky and keep their cars in top shape, regardless of the age. Such vehicles would tend to have higher mileage but are none-the-worse for wear. I drive a bullet as well and mileage is heading towards 215000, most of it clocked up travelling, which I do once in 2 months at the most.The result is my engine,shocks, tyres and AC are ALWAYS in top shape, cos I drive in top gear. Asides travelling, the car is parked from 6am to 7pm every working day, and I cruise around during the weekends Body is spanking new too.

If you've inspected the car and it's sound, go for it. Tis a bargain still.

ummm! this is da bump, practical experience!

this guy is more than finicky, i was tempted to pay immediately judging from both the interior and exterior parts of the car, very neat and smooth. the shocks, break, gear, sound system , the chilling A/C, new tires and alloy wheels to match with the black coated color. my optimism was very high after the mechanic confirmed the durability of the engine. however, it dropped when i set my eye on the odometer reading sequel to my request for your opinion.
