As I am typing this comment, there are over 500k "Lawyer" rich unregistered domain names on Expired Domain name dot net. Think of other niches like Dentist, Surgeon, Security, Investigation etc.

I don't think ikhalyfah (a respected member here who sold lots of Lawyer names) has up to 1,000 Lawyer domains in his portfolio.

It's all boils down to perspective. Some will see a cup half full other will see it half empty.

67 days in wilderness. Though, I dedicated those period for building my new niche site. Brandablee domain name broke the jinx for me.

That is the untold side of geo domain name business. You can make thousands of naira this month and make 0 in another month.

What a strange month, e be like say all this endusers Dey vex gan oooooo . Something strange happened to me Last week Thursday. So around 6-7pm on Thursday, I received a call from U.S to my US Number; thinking it was an end user, I hurriedly picked the call. My thought at that moment was, by all means, I will nail this deal . Next thing I heard was "This is US marshal". Instantly, the domain name fly commot for my head . This cannot be good . I use style dropped the call. They call back I did not pick it, they later dropped a voicemail . I opened the voicemail and listen to the message . In quote " This is US marshal from the US justice department, your number as been reported for online fraud by another citizen, you are to come before the US justice department on Monday before 9:00AM, failure to do this will result in serious persecution. Thank you." After listening to this again ..
Na so I just jejely uninstall my Dingtone, throwaway the number.Remove battery for my phone till next week Sunday . Well, it Friday now and am still in Nigeria, I guess marshals isn’t coming for me . But seriously All this endusers wicked gan oooooooo, so them come report person to court because of domain name, so if I Dey US now, I go dey find money to get an attorney that will save my ass…….This biz maddddd gan ooooo.

Consider creating 1 for brandables too abeg. For example, on Squadhelp, from time to time, there are certain keywords that are trending in terms of sales. E.g Cart.

There should be a way for me to combine several Key words+ Cart to check for their availability.
Like entering 50 keywords to check if those keywords+Cart.com is available.

You can use the niche search option and try this. Instead of puty a city there, put the keyword and see what comes up using the popular keyword option.

As per how long
What I did:
1. Created a new and sensible email address for outbounding.
2. Got new leads/Endusers/prospects.
3. Fixed my signature.
4. Outboud again.

Maybe your domains have several variations, and other domainers are also offering those variations to Endusers. This can cause confusion you know.

Also, maybe those Web/IT guys endusers consult have finally declared war on geo domains & domainers. you never can tell.

I know when you started here and how you always follow up this thread, if today you have become a boss, doesn't mean you should devalue someone's business. Rather you give them advice of what you believe on.

I don't do brandables but i can't descriminate people doing brandables.

Even when people bring Geos to me on whatsapp, i don't descriminate or devalue their domains, even if it's not the kind of geo i deal on.

There was a guy who bought one sewing and craft domain that came here and people devalued his market, some even asked him, to seek for refund. But he ended up selling such name for 3k dollars and now, people run to him as boss.

Personally i saw attitudes and characters here that made me withdraw from giving out much comments and sales report, but Heaven knows even at that, i still entertain my domain friends/family from nairaland, because someday they will be like me or even greater than I am in sales. That's why i dont look down or devalue anyone or his or her domains.


So oga you are someone i like and respect but please, whom much is given, much is expected.

He who comes to equity must come with clean hands.
And when the equities are equal, the law prevails.

So please give justice a chance, always advice them well, tell them this isn't your niche, if it is not something you deal on, and let them know which is yours and help them get better if they are willing to learn. But above all, don't bring them down or dull their spirit.

A Funny Story

Let me just drop this sales report because of the story behind it.

So I gave a scrapper 4 domains to get end users for me. He came back and asked me to replace one of those domains because the tool he was using for the scrapping can't work for that particular domain's country.

I replaced it with the domain in the screenshot below. A geo I bought in 2019 (renewed 2020). Did several outbounds but didn't sell.

He sent the Enduser list for that particular domain, and the number of Endusers was less than 20 (after removing duplicates and all that).

I outbounded to more Endusers last year than the small list he was giving me. I even used FAX for outboud!

Anyway, because the list was small, I started with that.

And it sold that same day!

Maybe luck, providence, Grace, hardwork, whatever...

But the domain was quite good sha.
I even reduced the price to $199 at some point as I wanted to get rid of it.
