A NURSE has been charged with murdering elderly care home patients in a seven-year killing spree.

Elizabeth Wettlaufer, 49, is accused of killing five women and three men in the towns of Woodstock and London in Ontario, Canada, between 2007 and 2014.

The dead ranged in age from 75 to 96.

Mass killings are rare in Canada and it is the largest case in Ontario in a decade – when five men murdered eight bikers.
