We have very well educated christians from well-to-do homes who are side chicks to one married man, if not for religion they'd happily become 2nd wife.

But due to xtianity outlawing it, they then try to break up the home & leave the incumbent wifey heart broken n divorced.

For you to have mentioned logic is an indication that you know what critical reasoning is and that you believe in power of knowledge. In which I would like to ask you if you are aware that how people make decisions(no matter their age) and see the world is a sum total of both environmental(such as family upbringing etc) and genetic factors(traits may not be as influencial as other factor).

Just so you know that PMB has one wife is not an evidence that he does not believe in polygamy.

NB: Among my Muslim friends, two of them grew up in a monogamous home and on different occassions told me that while growing up their father told them not to marry more than one wives. I know they could choose to do otherwise but the point is their upbringing(their parents views and their actions towards the marriage and family institution) form the basis of how they see marriage and likewise how they view the entire marriage institution

Before oyinbo came our forefathers were heavily involved in polygamy and perfectly fine with it. Even Yoruba obas that are Christians have many wives. Polygamy is still part of our culture if we will not lie to ourselves. And I'm yet to see any evidence that monogamy marriage last more than polygamy. Both have advantages and disadvantages.
