It was reported early this morning on Nairaland that protesters took to the streets of Akure to protest the removal of Eyitayo Jegede's name from the INEC final list. More protests still ongoing as sounds of sporadic gunshots and canisters rent the air. 1 Share

I thought Eyitayo Jegede is a SAN, how would you expect an Akure High Court to upturn/restrain the subsisting judgment of a court of coordinate jurisdiction like that of the Federal High Court? What happened to the Appeal Court? 15 Likes 2 Shares |

richidinho:You still want more judges arrested? Were you not the one claiming Buhari is a dictator and that the arrest is just a media trial? Now that the odds are against you, you want arrests of Abang, is that not double standard? 55 Likes 2 Shares |

This is absolute BULLSHITZZZ. Protest over what? Did the judge err in law? Prove that he erred and go to the appellate court to seek redress. Violence amount to ignorance 4 Likes |

If not foolishness.. Federal high gave the judgement to replace the name... Your Gov now advice u to go seek judgment from state high Court and u accepted the idea and even proceed to the court.. Forgetting fed high has ruling over state high Court and u call your self a senior advocate of Nigeria.. What a nonsense from a barrister 9 Likes |

NairaMaster1: Your name should be changed to ignorance. Do you understand the ruling given by Justice Okon Abang? Have you read the judgement? Where has the Judge erred in law? What stops Jegede from appealing? Stop posting nonsense, when you know absolutely nothing more than bandwagon. I watched and listened to the material fact of the case and the judge did the right thing. Tell me what the judge did wrong 9 Likes 1 Share |

This is the worst maladministration I have witness since my sojourn on earth. How can one explain the judicial rascality enjoy by justice Okon Abang and the rush by INEC to obey every ruling by Okon Abang. The judiciary is gradually bastadise serving the interest of APC and bros Bubu. Was INEC not present at the Ondo governorship primary conducted by Markafi led PDP and refuses to honour that of the Sherif led PDP?Between the two factions whose candidacy is varied according to INEC rules. What happened to stay of proceedings and subsequent wait for an appellant court to decide on it even up to the supreme court. Why the rush by INEC to obey the order of a federal high court of justice Abang. It is palpable obvious, INEC is no longer independent. They are acting the script of APC.The orders they are taking from their pay master is causing unrest in ONDO state. 13 Likes |
