This government should just do the right thing by coming up with economic policies that can take us out of this recession. It's way too much to be pursuing shadows. |

Arrest GEJ & see all that has been happening in the Niger-Delta is just a Top of the Ice Berg. Revenue will drop drastically or totally be wise. ..........$2.2bn? Ok, let us even assume that Dasuki actually stole this money with the help of Jonathan. Is it the biggest financial theft or "corruption" ever committed in this country to warrant so much sustained focus, hoopla and call for Jonathan to be killed? In 1978, $2.8bn mysteriously disappeared from the coffers of the Nigerian Petroleum Corporation under Muhammadu Buhari as its Commissioner. There were series of evidence pointing that the money was not mere paper noise but real. The bank where the money was lodged in London with its account was well known and documented. Nobody is calling for Buhari's arrest today to account for the money. The same period, under Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo N12bn loaded and transported from Nigeria in a Cargo plane was intercepted in Uganda by Field Marshal Idi Amin and seized. Gen. Obasanjo did not say anything in other for him not to be exposed. And that's how that money disappeared till date. Nobody is calling for Obasanjo to be arrested and killed for the money. $12bn gulf war windfall mysteriously disappeared under Gen. Ibrahim Babangida in 1991. Babangida is living his quiet life with that baggage in his mansion in Minna today. Everybody knows the place. But nobody is daring to call Babangida name to be arrested and killed for the money today. The billions Gen. Abacha looted from Nigeria treasury and dumped abroad during his reign in 1993 to 97 is being repatriated on daily basis 20 years after the man died, nobody is calling for the Abacha family to be brought and executed for all that loot. Even Buhari, the championer of anti-corruption today openly told the world that Abacha didn't loot! $16bn developed wings under Chief Olusegun Obasanjo in 2006, allegedly spent for power generation. Obasanjo is the pioneer in Chief of APC/Buhari government today. Nobody has called for the arrest and slaughter of Obasanjo today for the money. Why is Jonathan on everybody's mouth? Why is Jonathan's name associated wherever corruption is mentioned in the history of this country? Is it because he does not belong to the oligarchy class? Is it because, as a minority, he dared to wine and dine on the table that was exclusively preserved for the hegemony? Why the hypocrisy? Why all the attack? Why should he be singled out for attack and slaughter? Can anybody dare call out Obasanjo or IBB for arrest to account for all the billions that disappeared under their care? Joe Igbokwe, the APC parrot of Lagos state is the one being used to push this attack, "being Igbo", the agenda is clear on why he is being used. He has never dared mention the names of Obasanjo, Abacha or Babangida, even Buhari in the list of looters that raped this country even when he knows their track record and administrative history. Joe Igbokwe once called on Buhari to launch a full blown war on Niger Delta because of alleged militants. All to appease his feudal paymasters and be in their good books for pecks and peanuts. I am calling on every Southerner, Niger Deltans and Igbo citizens to regard Joe Igbokwe as a mortal enemy. If you know how soldiers are instructed to treat an enemy in the war front, so shall you treat Joe Igbokwe wherever you see him. Secondly, for those believing that Joe Igbokwe is speaking for the Igbo nation, he is not Igbo. And can never be speaking for the Igbo. Ndi Igbo have nothing to do with him. 6 Likes |

Osinbajo added, “corruption is not an ethnic thing, there is an equal representation in the stealing as no one operates with his/her ethnic group alone. The culprits are in every case seen so far, united by greed to steal and not by ethnic or religious interest.” This is my best quote of the year 1 Like |

This is more of a diplomatic language. Personally, i think corruption is endemic in Nigeria and even the present govt lacks the political will to fight corruption, because half of those that funded their political campaign are corrupt. Let us wait until they leave govt and you will hear of the massive corruption that went on even during this present govt. |

When some people comment like dis u will think they r related to Jonathan. If Jonathan is arrested a lot of money looted will come out but that might be difficult to achieve but d best thing to do is what Buhari is doing now pressing the stomach of everyone attached to stealing Nigeria money including his wife n children. If u like cry for Nairaland that does not in any way remove Buhari from being the president of Nigeria n there r plans. Bad belle go soon cry more o cos there a lot in stock. Recession would soon be over but Nigerians will never forget dis difficult moment. |

Why is everybody in APC fast becoming a liar. If only 10 herdsmen have been arrested, the Fulani herdsmen would have stopped killing people all over the place. It is because they have an implicit support from the ruling government that they continue to kill Nigerians without any remorse. Infact, they brag that nothing will happen and indeed nothing will actually happen. Before this government came in, Fulanis have being living in other parts of the country without noticeable problems. Even when there are problems, they are easily resolved. But now, they believe they are in government and nothing can be done about their case. By allowing Fulani herdsmen to destroy the farms of Nigerian farmers and also kill them with impunity, the government is further destroying the already comatose economy and reducing the average Nigerian quality of life. It is time to stop these killings. |

EFCC knows what to do. But still a good government does and enforces justice, righteousness, etc. But a corrupt government does not do that. So I am waiting for justice to be done against every looter in Nigeria. Each of the looters and similar criminals must be justly prosecuted and those that are convicted among punished. If true justice is not executed in Nigeria, if the executive and honorable criminals are not punished, that will be injustice and partiality in justice and God will continue to punish Nigeria. |
