Good morning lovely family. I have been following this thread since I found out I was pregnant. Followed every step of getting b2 visa applied wit hubby. My mum applied before us and was favoured. She got her visa is November . we went for our interview today and we were given the yellow paper. We were denied. Dh and I. Vo: good morning with a smile DH n I : good morning. Vo: Passports please Vo: why are you going to texas Me: for child birth Dh: tries to bring out documents that were properly organised . Vo: no I dont need to see dem Vo: how much is ur estimate ? Me:18 k dollars Vo: How much is d the delivery? Me :7k dollars Vo: y have u been to dubai so many times. R u into any other biz? Me: no. I visited with my kids. Vo: how many kids and their ages? Me:2, 3 and 4 years old. Vo: what do you do ? DH: I am ..... Before he could finish, she brought out d yellow sheet. I am sorry you are not eligible. All these didn't take more dan 5 mins. No reasonable question, dr's correspondence. Statement of accounts etc.. We were jus shocked. Want to reapply next month... Is it late?? I didn't see anyone dat was granted. Wt could be the issue? |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 5 by KaptainAfrika: 10:20am On Dec 16, 2016 |
In my humble opinion, everything is okay. I recommend doing the following: 1. Apply alone and since your mum has a visa, no need to mention that you are going with someone (if you say your mum, it could raise a red flag and your ma's visa could be cancelled). If they ask what of hubby? Say he will apply later to be with you during your labour week. 2, I sincerely hope this trend isn't a new policy as per childbirth. Your budget was okay. I feel the delivery ought to have been 10,000 dollars though (for the sake of the interview) 3. Depending on your EDD, Reapply immediately or later. 4. Was this in abuja or lagos? All the best! It was in abuja. I told my hubby 10k too cos of all I read he sed the correspondence shows 7k . That if dey check it might not be good. I sha don't think that was the issue. She must have made up her mind. Didn't ask where we work? Thought traveling was a good thing as per asking me why I have traveled several times to dubai? Smh . Dis is the reason hubby always says let's go to dubai cos of this denial of visa . by God's grace I should get soon.. EDD first week of april. Hnmmm. Na wa . The expenses. Flight tickets now. Local flights... God would do it. Thank you so much. KaptainAfrika. 2 Likes |

KaptainAfrika: Bros you just de jot scores. And its like you are right. Its like they are doing strong head on top childbirth visa nowadays. Chai! Please we need more good news of Visa approvals. In other news, due to an urgent need, I was compelled to buy Nigerian pampers, against my will, it was the only thing in the store. I had just finished the us pampers I bought when I traveled recently and my regular Bleer diapers was not available. I must confess it's totally unbelievably awesome!!!! And cheap too. Economy pack of 32 was 1700. I'm a full convert! 11 Likes |

KaptainAfrika: This is wrong and will not help her visa application, please don't encourage anybody to lie in visa application. People have traveled before with their mum for child birth so there is no need withholding that info if asked. 1 Like |

Rhonkee: No, the account balance was 3M, but the inflow and out flow was over 40M so the VO did not check the balance. He only checked the first page of the account statement where you have the total credit and debit. Hope this helps |

bbaby84: I have actually made a correction on my sons passport at the US embassy in Lagos... that was like 3months ago. Its not a big deal. You'll have to make an appointment at the American Citizens section of their site. Print the appointment page and download & fill the required form. Stroll up to the gate at your scheduled time (dont go and queue up with visa people ooo ) and you'll be ushered in and attended to. I doubt if they'll request for the receipts although I remember them asking one parent for progressive pictures of his daughter - maybe she looked totally different from the pic in her passport and the consular officer wanted to make sure she was d same person. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Sophiamax16: Let me say some things I felt didn't go well with the VO: 1. You've had 3 children in Nigeria, why do u want to have this one in the US? 2. What happens to your children wen you and hubby travels cos they are still very young You need to convince them why u want to have this baby in the US eg do you have any complications? Etc All the best 4 Likes |

@ Feddy dey didn't let us talk . beside my dh would only come wen I am about to give birth and den they would be wit my in-laws. We were not asked . I was even the one that mentioned kids wen she asked about frequent Dubai trips. I have 2 kids. Age 3 n 4 years old. R dey really small? She didn't ask. DH was to show doctor's correspondence all d documents we know dey need . she ses she wouldnt be needing dem. Wen we jus got to her. DH was talking wen she brought out d yellow paper. she wasn't listening. Apparently her mind was made up. It was strange in less dan five min we were bounced . |

Good day to everyone, Compliments of the season,Please I need some series advise, I gave birth in Houston north medical centre a month ago, the statement I got before I arrived was Hospital-$2000 Paediatric services-675 Epidural-650 Excluding doctor's fee, doctor was paid separately, I have clear the hospital bill, epidural . After a month the hospital sent me a bill of $3900 for my baby for nursery services, lab work, pharmacy and extra nursing services, now am suprised and I called them, and told them they didn't make me aware I was gonna pay his extra bill, and I was gonna work with their initial quote, because I was feeling scammed by the hospita. they gave me couple of options which included filling a despute with them to investigate what I was told I would pay, and putting the account on hold for 30days Also with the paediatric fees which is suppose to be $675, I got a bill for 1133, I told them I was gonna pay a dollar more from $675 and and they adjusted it to 900 and sometin( was so angry I didn't get the exact amount) , I refused and he said I can also file a dispute Please has anyone gone through this before , and please house advice me on what to do because I. Cannot afford these extra, unplanned bills Thanksss 1 Like |

damsel020: I have learnt so much about this missionary journey in this E-Family. I will like to consider this hospital and doctor for myself and DW as second option. I called Dr Ezekiel but she was not picking her call, i also called the doctor and the price i was given was 550$ above what was stated here. Please i like to know how else to contact doctor Ezekiel. I already contacted Dr Glenn Morgan and HNWMC, which was what i presented at the Consulate during the visa interview but we will be staying in Fresno TX, which is about 1hr 20min to Houston Northwest Medical Center. So i need an hospital closer to Fresno at least 45 minutes drive. so the choice of Oakbend with Dr Ezekiel. Please i really need sincere advice on this decision from experience ones. If its right to change doctor? Is the distance also a point to really note? Also Is FRSC tempoary driver's License accepted in Houston? Planning to travel January 17th which is 35th weeks, hope this will not pose any issues with the Doctor, Hospital, POE and Flight (likely Air France) Thank you for your prompt response 1 Like |

Hello everyone. Applied for B2 visa...noticed the agent didn't input my level of education details. He only stated my current status (pg student). Also, 3 accompanying persons were filled on my form, hubby, FIL and MIL. Father-in-law is sponsoring the trip... Please, hope these do not pose any threat at the interview? Thanks. |

Pls my people how are we doing? Pls I currently have an issue at hand. I was met to use houston methodist sugarland but my sil said it's abit far from her place. Then I contacted an old friend and referred me to her sister but she said it's also far from her end that there is houston northwest medical center close to her. Then I asked if I could stay with her she said no problem. Because of the flexibility of her job she said she could pick me from the airport. I Went with plenty of African food but couldn't buy garri cos I was really stressed out doing the shopping alone. The first thing she she was did I bring garri? I said no. Then she said u were coming Nigeria u couldn't ask what I wanted. I realized I made a mistake there and I apologized and said I will make it up to her when my DH is coming. After 2days she called me and sat me down and said I offended her 3yrs ago and i didnt apologize. That I booked a flight without asking what day was convenient for her to pick me up and I also booked an appointment at th hospital without asking when was ok for her(i can remember I asked her before accepting the appointment date given). Then she said my husband knew I was coming to her and he couldn't call to appreciate her. I apologized on my DH behalf cos he is offshore. Then she said I used to be very proud and rude even though I was staying with her sister. May while she just described herself . I didn't say anything then she asked how old I was I told her she asked me to guess how she is. I knew but pretended not to know. Then she said she is 15yrs older than I am that I was messing around with her then. That I will soon be a mother tha is it with this my attitude I will raise a child. I felt bad in my mind with my attitude a man could marry me at a very young age and has never complained about me but u 40yrs+ no boyfriend. She now said do u know people pay 4 accomodation and utility bills to give birth here. That she is sacrificing a lot for me. That she could have refused me coming to her place but she didn't. She then asked but why ain't i staying with ur sil. I told her the reason being distance but she said that's not true that there is something else. She ranted and said a lot of nonsense. Then I told my DH to call her and she spoken to him without regard my DH was hurt but he just held himself and kept apologizing to her as she was talking. Now she is giving one kind of attitude. I really can't take it cos at my last appointment my blood pressure was a bit higher than the way it used to be back home and I really don't sleep well. Cos her own sil is around to give birth and she asked me to move out from the room for her into her own bedroom but she keeps saying she likes her privacy so I end up laying on the floor in the sitting room or sleep for like 2hrs in her room and come out. Even when she sees me on the floor she doesn't say anything she will just enter her room and lock the door. I don't really eat as such but wen she makes food, is after her and her sil had taken theirs she will now ask if I'm interested in eating. I must say she is doing a lot for me but d attitude isn't good at all. I want to move to my sil place and don't mind the distances (It's about 45mins drive) is it something I should consider? I really don't need all dis I need to be joyful for my baby. Pls my sil lives at southwest and the hospital is at cypress. Pls people that know houston pls advice me on how I can be getting to the hospital at a cheaper rate. Thanks a lot |

Chanbaby: Quite sorry about this stress! But truth is not everyone has a pleasant experience with thier hosts. If I were in your shoes I'd call your sil and tell her you had a rethink and feel it's better to be with family. Pack your bags and move over. Sacrifice on some of the shopping you planned for your self and divert the funds to transportation costs.afterall if you knew no one else in Houston you'd stay there!!! For your current hostess she's behaving as she knows best and perhaps has been shaped by her own experiences in life. It's nothing to bother yourself about just dust yourself up and remind yourself that these are some of the shit we experience for the sake of motherhood and the future of our little ones! Cheers. 7 Likes 1 Share |

My E-fam its nice be here again. you guys have gone very far. God bless you foe the support provided. i went for my first missionary trip in 2014 and to the glory of God and the help of your guys it went very well.my story is posted in 1. please i need some help oh. i am preparing to go for part 2 and my question is this. i renewed my visa via dropbox in July 2016 and stated reason as vacation in dec 2016. i just found out i am pregnant and will not be due until Aug 2017. so i am thinking if i should write letter of change of intent. i feel like i should not have a problem because (1) when i went for my first missionary trip i declared it was for child birth and they gave me the visa. (2) when i did dropbox renewal in july i was not pregnant they can do their calculations and see that i was truly not pregnant then as 12 months will have passed as i plan to travel July 2017. So my country people what do you guys think? do i have a good case with change of intent letter? |

babythug: The white and cream one. I think its pampers premium care. I haven't tried the green one. I haven't had great reviews about that one. Then there is bleer bleer. Omg! This should be awarded diaper of 2016! It will give Huggies a run for their money. A pack of 50 is 2200 (it just jumped from 1900 due to recession). Try it and thank me later. These cheap diapers are just saving someone money this period. As for baby milk, what is even shacking peak 123? They just disappeared from the market after dumping peak 456 on us. Nonsense! As enfamil has entered 16k, NAN lactogen is similar to enfamil in taste and composition and it is 1670. Oh boy! Na to swerve! 14 Likes 1 Share |
